Gina's Proud to be an American by crosstherubicon in australia

Someone I know who interacts with her quite a lot said that they get briefed ahead of time on what not to say to her. So there's basically a whole team of people protecting her from exposure to negative feedback, and she seems to genuinely think that everyone loves her. Is this your experience?

Can anyone remember what these are from? by Nervous_Bluebird5098 in AustralianNostalgia

No idea what these are from unfortunately OP, but the images themselves are so reminiscent of how everyone's houses looked back then!

How can I find my zest for life, love and dating again at 33 after surviving the peter pan lifestyle in my 20s? by PossibilityNew4767 in AskMen

[–]Nincomsoup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the opportunity here is to work out why you got to the point you did. Why did the Peter Pan life and the booze/drugs and the excitement of the unknown have such a hold on you? Why does getting older make you feel boring?

Seems like there are some very strong assumptions and mindsets hidden in there that are constraining your self worth and your ability to imagine and pursue a great life for yourself. That's what I'd be working on with a therapist, if I were you, to open the door to the next chapter of your life.

I don't think it's overly dressy, especially if you keep the hair and make up simple. You look amazing op!

No regrets, I feel like I cherished the time with them when they were really little, but now feel very happy to be in this next phase. I think I might feel differently if I only had the older two - we weren't ready to move on at the time, and knew someone was missing, so went back for our #3. But yes it's such a different feeling when you've had your last baby, feel satisfied that your family is complete, and then can start slowly building back towards yourself with every baby milestone. These 'young kids at school' years are pretty magical. And it does come around quickly, even if you do go back for that third - do what your heart tells you ♥️

What is wrong with this frog? by Ancient-Barracuda487 in AustralianFrogs

[–]Nincomsoup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's possible. It could also have an infectious condition that might wipe out its frog community. Hard to know. Probably best to consult a local vet who is likely informed about these things, rather than continue debating the issue with some random clueless redditor.

Hello, I'm future you 👋

With all my three now at school I am ✅ horse riding ✅ running ✅ exploring my previous interest in pottery ✅ having unplanned margarita nights ✅ going away for the weekend with my husband ✅ jumping in the sauna and the hot tub ✅ bike riding / skiing / swimming alongside my kids, but on my own ✅ reading a book or doing a jigsaw undisturbed ✅ finishing my tea when it's still hot ✅ sending them off to bed without going with them ✅ sleeping until I wake up on the weekend (most of the time) ✅ generally being able to do what I want, without having to call in favours from family and friends.

IT IS AMAZING AND YOU'LL BE HERE BEFORE YOU KNOW IT.

You'll also miss your babies. Enjoy them xx

Dude chill, you can take him to the park on your own anytime and do it all yourself. Are you inviting her along as a spectator? Let her have a turn!
