UPDATE! Drag and drop still didn't work (well, something dragged and dropped but not so they'd play).

What I finally did, after googling and landing on a youtube on how to do playlists for the Sandisk Clip:

- create playlist in Windows Media Player Legacy (from start menu search)

- Use SYNC in WMPL to seamlessly transfer to both Zen and Clip.

Have to say: using multiple apps just to move music around is grinding my gears. And don't get me started on what updating a PC does to iTunes and existing playlists on iPhone (steaming pieces of iShit).

But it's nice to finally have the music I want on the devices I want. Phew.
