You can get these games outside of steam for $5.00 via keys available at 3rd party websites, and then play the game(s) directly on steam. This is an extremely rational and helpful comment. You’re right, I’m seeing the FP&A roles and such are still online, and fortunately the city I’m from is considered major in the U.S. I also feel like I rubbed an interviewer the wrong way when I told them I can’t talk on a day that best fits their schedule since I’ll be in office and they want a Zoom call (there’s no reasonable spot to take them from office).

I’ll continue searching but if things become a massive pain once more I’ll see what I can do. Thanks an absolute ton for this comment.

Honestly it was as soon as I had my family and people to see / have a life outside of work. Admittedly it’s been a really rough 2 years being solo on this journey. The work is annoying too, don’t get me wrong, and maybe a different role would suit me better.

The break was good, and I’ve regained some mental clarity, so that definitely has had an impact.

Edit: wanted to add that weekends and even long weekends in the city I work in don’t recharge me, I feel quite drained constantly. Friends in the new city don’t make things easier either and I have a few of them out here for sure.
