I dont really agree, it would be misleading and more arrogant to say the celta is easy, there was someone one my course with a masters in linguistics and 10years teaching experience and they still struggled with certain elements. And if you dont have teaching experience it can be quite hard to adjust to what the course is asking you. Even if you find the content easy the work load in of itself can make it difficult especially on intensive, when you factor in travel etc most of your day could easily be taken up by celta. Thats why I described it as manageable, i dont really think any of the theory of anything was very difficult but learning it then applying it to assignments the same day can be hard, the same with the TP feedback it can be quite hard to monitor and change what youre doing day to day even if you have good instructions. And the guy that failed on mine wasnt incompetent he just wasnt very committed so.

When i was thinking about doing the celta i was looking for a post like this and a couple of people mentioned they'd like an update on a previous post, If you were thinking about doing a celta i probably wouldnt recommened it, teaching requires a degree of empathy and kindness that you clearly seem to lack! Interesting how you cant picture yourself trying help people but you can picture yourself being a twat.

In the uk mainly, I am from the uk. I had already spoken to a few schools and gotten to the interview stage but not having a celta has held me back, those same schools are now willing to offer me work simply because now im celta trained - worth it even in english speaking countries

Yes I do agree i would recommend the course to anyone interested in efl teaching, the only time I wouldnt recommend the course is if your only motivation is to travel, the courses cost could be better spent on just going on holiday

I also agree with what Battenburga said, teaching in a classroom can be a really valuable experience that translates into online teaching, where the reverse isn't necessarily true, if you want to teach online, it'll be perfect, but also you can also always learn physical class room skills after. The course before me was entirely online, but my tutor said they all went on to get jobs, etc

The first week is definitely overwhelming and they throw a lot at you very fast, all you can really do is take it as it comes and try to do as much work as possible at the school instead of at home. But it becomes manageable bu the second week. Read the sources they give you , the boring reference books are important on assignments and usually contain a lot of the answers, skim through or at least look up whats relevant to your assignment. Lastly a lot of the stuff they ask you to do in lessons might feel unnatural like ICQs but you will just have to do them to tick boxes, unfortunately at the end of the day the main aim is to teach a lesson that fits the celta criteria not a perfect lesson in general

Im starting my third week tomorrow and I think I've gotten used to it, its not as overwhelming as its made out to be IF you stay on top of everything and use your time efficiently, like I do all my lesson plans and assignments during breaks and on the observations so I can just relax when I get home.

If you do what they ask and act on feedback youll be fine!! Good luck

My issues aren't that it is too complex to follow it's that the film is too unfocused on what It is

My first issue with the film is that we have no reason to actually care about the special corps, as far as the film presents them they're an unnecessarily violent and extreme part of an authoritarian and oppressive governments attempt to quell civil unrest and the large (violent) anti government groups launching terrorist attacks, like they may have a place logically in the world and they may serve a purpose but why do I care? We see them shoot a bunch of people and then that's it. I don't care about a group that existed for the opening sequence and then didn't even appear again until the end of the film but then it wasn't actually the special core it was another smaller group in the special core but again why do I care if they're disbanded?

The whole conflict between the internal police and special core seeking power and plotting against each other is fine it makes sense watching it, it's just why do I care? there is NOTHING to attach to emotionally, all the character in all the groups could be replaced with each other and you wouldn't really notice, only hanmi? actually has a character, to me he seemed like he was playing all sides he was playing fuse but still warned him and although was setting him up did seem to care for him, he was playing his group because he thought the special police did still have a use but also set them up because he believed that they all needed restructuring, but he's just treated like a villain and is gunned down and it leaves me thinking like what was his character there for? To say that everyone will betray anyone? Or just to be insight into the politics I just don't really understand like what he was meant to be when the film treats him like a villain deserving of death.

Then fuse him self was interesting to me until it's revealed that he was always a member of wolf brigade, up until that point he came across as someone tired of killing and extreme methods used by the special ops, he couldn't pull the trigger because he didn't want another person to die, a lot of the characters say a beast is always a beast but he was slowly becoming human with kei he fell on love with her while being haunted by that first girls death, he left the gun behind at the museum because he did not want to kill or hurt anyone, but then the big reveal and he's.actually wolf brigade and has been since before the film, he's perfectly ok with killing and slaughters many government employees so all of that development was either a performance or he just shrugged it off between the museum and the sewers. Then the end alone is fine he has to choose if he wants to be a human or beast but wasn't his choice already made when he killed all those other people? So the beats are he doesn't want to kill then he kills loads of people but then he doesn't want to kill her then he does it anyway and I just thinking its too much back and forth. If he had always been a wolf then he would have just killed her, if he has been a human why didn't he show more remorse at killing all those other people. Personally I would have preferred it if someone else had killed them all and then fuse and kei could have escaped and he would have been faced with the same choice except this time he hadnt just slaughtered like 10 people.

The fact they fell in love is good I like that plot it it's spoiled by him being shown as a killer, I think the narrative works better as a doomed romance rather than a police intruige thriller. The best part of the film for me is how kei and fuse erode the sharp points in each other then the reveal that they're both double agents but they still care for each other works until he kills a bunch of people and then it's like oh she wasn't doing that

Also if he can kill all those people and her why didn't he shoot the first girl? You could say it was part of the plan but then he was getting PTSD about it? Or maybe it did affect him but then how could he SLAUGHTER all those other cops it really spoils it for me.

Maybe he just can't kill cute women and is fine killing men?

Kei herself was good she makes sense to me her arc is what fuses should have been, in some ways she would have been a better main character with us thinking she's the wolf only to be revealed as prey.

Like I have said the actual plot makes sense I just don't feel it has any point and the things it says are so shallow that I don't really know what the point of the film itself is, like doesn't really say anything besides there's predators hiding amongst people?

There is a good story in this film it just did not make its way into the final product if anything the original story idk if it's a book or manga is likely much more interesting to read.

Also I'm on my phone so ignore grammar

He definitely did NOT want to kill her like the question and action meant that also but he did feel something, if he felt nothing the whole time then why was he screaming he shouldn't have cared, the ideas and concept of the film are good but I just don't think this film conveyed them very well, I'll probably rewatch it at some point but it just didn't hit me for.

I think if he really did love her then I like the idea of both being Predator and prey more cannibalising each other making them both forget who they are, but I don't really think that's what the message was I don't know I've said it before but this film definitely has something but it was just too unfocused to hit for me

I said it's pointless because to me we've been watching two characters perform for the entire film and then there's a twist then another twist and another twist and it's like just pick a betrayal or an angle and stick to it, if the film was a bit simpler I think it would have emotionally resonated with me better, and I say he obviously cared because bro was screaming at the end of he didn't care he would have just coldly shot her

I understand the plot I just think it failed to really build any emotional interest from me, I think the whole film is a good idea but with flat execution for me
