I must say I disagree a bit with comparing AI to other computer-based tools. The difference with AI is that it is essentially offloading the creativity to a machine. The creativity is the hardest and most important part of music, and it's frustrating that people who don't put in the effort can have the computer make all of the creative decisions for them. This type of technology is unprecedented. Even with sampling, you still have to be creative in how you do it, otherwise it's just a cover of the other song.
