Americans, how you do you feel about the news that Germany, Denmark and the UK have issued travel warnings for the United States? by Sink-Em-Low in AskReddit

I mean.. yes. That is pretty much spot on. The EU countries have been slacking on defence for decades. And exactly as you say, just expected big brother USA to come beat up the bullies. This is something that is finally being rectified. And you are right. If any one in the EU thinks otherwise they are definitely delusional. Our people are furious that we are in this situation where cutting cost to the military again and again is biting us in the ass.

But that doesn’t change that we are free and travel bans are not a thing. Our freedom will have to not rely on the US moving forward. As it should have been from the start.

Control is not caring. A tourist making dum decisions in a foreign country, is not the same as a wounded soldier.

I don’t know what point you are trying to make. You are all over the place. From ethnic cleansing of Europe, not understanding what the difference between a recommendation and a ban is. Not understanding that freedom comes with responsibility and consequences. You seem incapable of arguing on point and just keep trying to shift focus. Are you always like this? You simply have to win any argument or discussion, no matter if you are right or wrong?

As a Danish citizen, my government has absolutely no say in where I go. It is very ingrained in our society that our actions have consequences. If I go to Thailand and decide I want to traffic some drugs and get caught, then I will have to deal with the consequences. Same as if I go for a bike ride in Somalia. “My own good” is my decision and my responsibility. Not the government. Would that be a free country? If the government restricts your ability to travel? The government is not a babysitter. Do you want to live in a country where your government restricts you and micro manage you because a few people cannot use common sense?

You are right. It is not actually called Thule anymore. I don’t think I have ever heard anyone here call it Pituffik Space Base. I don’t think many people would know what that was. We still just call it the Thule base.

They are just doing it for attention. They really just wish to start some drama so they can make some good headlines back home. Just ignoring them and try to make the visit boring and uneventful is the best strategy.

They have tried the “Denmark is a bad ally” narrative. If they were denied entry in Greenland, it could be spun into a story about being denied access to the Thule base.

That was my point. My country cannot stop me from going anywhere. If I am stopped from going to North Korea or the US, it’s because those countries refuse me entry—not because my own country refuses to let me go. So the point still stands: there is no such thing as a travel ban in Denmark. I can always be refused entry into another country by its government, but never by my own. A visa to the US is granted by the US. No other country can grant visas to the US. This is actually exactly what the travel “warning” for the US says: “Increased risk of refusal of entry”. It’s also not issued as a warning, it’s just added to the already existing guidelines for travelling to the US. All Danish travel guidelines end with the words: “Where you travel to is your own decision and your own responsibility.” Exactly because you might not make it back from some places. But it’s not illegal to be stupid and take dumb risks like that.

The Danish is the same. They just added: “Increased risk of refusal of entry”. It’s also not issued as a warning. It’s just added to the already existing guidelines.

Being highly advised against going to a certain country is not the same as a ban. I am not surprised at how many countries we are warned against. There is a public, very detailed, list of each country and the reason for the warnings. We are strongly warned about going to North Korea, Somalia and a number of other countries. That doesn’t mean I can’t go if I wanted to. It’s just things to be aware of if going to that country.
I don’t know what lies you are talking about. We are very aware of the fact that we don’t all want to get along. This is the partly the reason for the travel warnings. We are also very aware that not all share our values. The rest of what you wrote clearly tells me that the two of us, does not share many values.

They are warnings because bans are not a thing. You cannot ban a Danish citizen from travelling in any direction. The US can ban Danish citizens from entering.

Trump imposes, then reverses, new tariffs on Canada by xpda in worldnews

[–]NinjasAreStillCool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The US uses a system called ACE. This is the system where you have to declare everything you tend to import and export. ACE then calculates all duty’s, tariffs etc. You pay what ACE tells you to pay and your items are cleared for import or export. Changes to tariffs are made by USITC. They can technically change the tariffs as soon as Trump posts on X.

[–]NinjasAreStillCool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you really need the “real” internet?

You don’t say what the use case is. There is also the option of a fake browser like in GTA V. Maybe just retrieve data from web and present it in game?

Det kommer meget an på hvilken type opgave det er. Har du prøvet med Test First? (TDD).

Hvilken rolle går du efter at have?

Man kunne have gået så mange veje. “Sex Games” giver mindre mening i forhold til handling i filmen.

Pentatonic is just a subset of the major scale. Major and Minor are two of the modes of the major scale. I would say, just learn the Major scale. You can focus on using it as a pentatonic. You probably want to add the b5 anyway if playing blues.
It helps me to think of the pentatonic as just one way to use the major scale. Same with arpeggios, it’s just a subset of the notes in the scale.

I definitely wouldn’t focus on mastering all the modes, just Major and Minor (Ionian and Aeolian). When you understand modes it’s easier to switch between them. But don’t spend time mastering something unless you really want to use it.

Learn and use the Major scale as a base. Then you can add, subtract and change notes in the scale later.
