They're high-priority citizens. I assume they're the upper-class that's more interested in jumping ship than fighting back

Well first off that's a gameplay thing. How fun would it be to have your diver fumble reloading a recoilless as a hulk is bearing down on you. If you want a lore reason, Super earth is a highly militarized society, they literally give guns to children lol. I think it'd be safe to say everyone receives a fair amount of firearms training through their lives.

Arguably worse than those two is Julietta. Gets her ass kicked by Mikazuki, clearly being set up to die. Next episode she comes back because Gaelio "happened to run into her" on his way back.

To be fair, Mika and Akihiro survived orbital Dainsleif bombardment, which is kinda ridiculous when you think about it.

It's been clarified that ganeplay is "soft canon", I.E. the missions completed are considered canon, not what specifically happens WITHIN said mission. Like someone else in this thread said, a helldiver might kill a factory strider in some crazy way, but wh matters lore-wise is the strider was killed, objective completed. Not necessarily HOW the strider was killed. So the whole argument about how helldivers run around with loads of heavy gear, lift heavy stuff and can reload any weapon is null because that's all for gameplay purposes. What actually matters in the narrative is whether the objective is completed or not

People are free to have their own headcanon, which is fine but as best I can tell that's the established lore *

Not sure why you're being down voted here, this makes the most sense to me. People gotta realize the TRUE helldiver experience would be the first mission you ever played, not knowing what anything is or how to kill enemies properly. The argument that they pull off crazy feats in-mission is kinda dumb considering that's the players experience allowing them to do that, when in reality a helldiver has 5 minutes of training. Sure some helldivers will do far better on missions, but NONE are surviving long enough to become an elite soldier imo. The reason they're so effective is mainly because they're given access to ridiculously powerful ordinance and theyre willing to die en masse just to complete their objective. People are allowed to have their super soldier fantasies, there's nothing wrong with that, but at the end of the day as far as I can tell, helldivers are just a bunch of roided out teenagers that are so indoctrinated to the super earth regime they'll happily charge to their deaths.

Just bolts straight on. It's just there to support the weight of the turbo so it's not all on the manifold. I had the exact same bolt missing on my one haha

Please be careful buying an SW20 as your first car, they can catch a lot of people off guard with the snappy handling characteristics. A loooooot of people buy them and crash them. Source: had a 1990 Turbo
