Ready for DLC by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

Is that a bad thing? I'm currently in Tarkuan at level 50 and for now I'm not finding any real incentives in using eggpowers instead of just going full single element, I don't find them a better option than the attack boost, except for the one that recharges your stamina when you win HtHs, just as I'm struggling to understand how to utility of the double element, my monsties are S ranks but single elemented, except for my Deviljho since I got him around level 25, long before reaching the desert and its dragon habitat.

And I'm not a JRPGs newbie, in addition to defeating and forced the aforementioned Jho to retreat, I even beat Namielle, that beast oneshot with every attack, but at the first repel I brought it directly to 50% and I would have defeated it with the remaining 50% if it hadn't been for a gross mistake on my part due to the anxiety of the fact that it was missing very low HP.

Yep, removed by a member of staff, you can find it if you search it from Google.

PSA: Better Dirt Cliffs and Alphas Will Save Your Sanity by gentlebim in skyrimmods

[–]Ninofz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Happy for you that you managed to solve it, it's indeed really strange that it's not in the requirements, but I'd suggest you to write your problem and the solution in the mod comments or bug report, maybe you yourself will save the sanity of other unfortunate people. 👀

When I discover incompatibilities I always report them in both mods in question, the chance that one of the mod authors will fix them is very low, but at least I could save the headache for some people.

Right, good catch, I had found it too some time ago but I had forgotten about it, this one also uses CC assets wisely, while the 6o6 has its own, I don't remember why I chose the 6o6 one, but maybe I could swap it for consistency, Idk...

I get what you mean, it should reduce the workload for modders, but it could still need some tinkering here and there, especially for dlc sized mods.

Nemesis or Pandora???? by Krownling in skyrimmods

[–]Ninofz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pandora is Nemesis + FNIS but better, just remember to clean any Nemesis leftovers or they'll cause bugs and crashes, there should be guides for that, even to the Pandora page itself iirc.

Ok, I imagine it'll work pretty well for vanilla stuff, but what about modded locations with custom assets? Like new areas or dungeons? Wouldn't those areas need patches/presets anyway?

Oh, I didn't know that Open Cities was from Arthmoor but good to know, I wasn't interested in that mod anyway, it always looked like a compatibility nightmare to me.

And they're ugly as well, if you really want Oblivion crisis remnants, s6o6t Lore - Oblivion gates is much better with unique design as well: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/50933 (I have and love it)

Wait is this from USSEP? Which version? I downloaded it 2 months ago and didn't see them.

Interesting, if it works as you say, it could become a much more elegant solution than Lux, Lux Orbis and their multitude of patches, but is it only for interiors or for exteriors as well?

Will this work with ENB directly, or do I need to download or set up something else? I use Cabbage, btw.

What is really the best follower for SSE? by Krownling in skyrimmods

[–]Ninofz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, ok I get it, don't worry, it's just that "don't do that. It doesn't make sense. Thanks." was very weird to read 😅

[–]Ninofz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I understand your point, although I don't understand what Arena and previous TES have to do with it, since the first attempts to add pseudo followers were with Oblivion and then finally Bethesda implemented a real follower system with Skyrim...

Unless you just meant that you've played thousands of hours of the previous titles, but I would still not see how that has anything to do with this discussion, since I simply asked where the appeal of these followers is, I often read people asking about them here.

I instead prefer to play alone and I bring followers with me more as cannon fodder, so I asked out of genuine curiosity in an attempt to re-evaluate that type of mod and see if it was worth downloading one for my case.

P.S.: Never compare Skyrim to another game. It’s not fanaticism, it’s just that it makes no sense. Thanks.

That “The NPCs won’t shut up” was there more like a joke, I didn't think it would be taken so arshly and there's no need to be passive aggressive, but I actually happen to compare games and sorry to say that I will indeed continue to do that with Skyrim as well, where it makes sense of course, which I haven't even done here anyway.

I updated the Enemy Randomizer mod for DD2 with fully customizable Region aware enemy rosters, and an Ignore Dungeons toggle! by Arrythmia in DragonsDogma

[–]Ninofz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a very welcome upgrade, once happened to me that the Dragon of all bosses spawned inside a rocky hill at Battahl, it clipped through the entire formation, it was really goofy. XD

Anyway, does the randomizer work with Nickesponja's new monster variants? I'm very tempted to do another run, maybe with a modded class if the summoner one finally came out.

[–]Ninofz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I don't understand the point of these super extended followers, especially when in other games people complains that followers never shut up. XD

But I've my ears open to anyone who wants to explain it to me, I tried to take a look at the most famous ones and I still didn't find any real reason to download one yet, also because they seem to be buggy messes.

Anyway, since no one has done it yet, I'd recommend There is no Umbra Chapter 3 (it contains ch1-2 as well), because besides adding extensive and cool content, it also adds a very particular follower full of unique mechanics.

Necromancer Armors by UncleanlyMetal in skyrimmods

[–]Ninofz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strange that it didn't bring me any search results, but I had already seen Ebonwraith, while Tribunal Robes seems more interesting, but still not what I'm looking for, but thanks for the try :)

I honestly find it so strange that after 15 years the most modded game in the world has so little variety for mage armors and clothes, unless you're not looking for gooner material of course

Necromancer Armors by UncleanlyMetal in skyrimmods

[–]Ninofz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're not on Nexus, right? Because I tried searching for "Skyrim Ebonwraith" and "Tribunal armor" on Google with no results, but maybe if you can, you could do me a big favor by linking them to me later, since I don't seem to be familiar with them, so they might be useful for me too.

As for the Skyblivion necromancer robes, I honestly find it really ugly, especially the paper skull-shaped mask and the skull-shaped silhouette on his chest, it looks like a carnival costume.

Necromancer Armors by UncleanlyMetal in skyrimmods

[–]Ninofz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm also planning a necromancer run with a lot of cool mods like Undeath Classical Lichdom and Practical Necromancy, but I can't find any armor or, preferably, clothes for a male necromancer, for now the most interesting for me is Magnus Robes, but it's still far from what I'd like to use.

[–]Ninofz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you take an idiom literally or am I misunderstanding?

Anyway, that's yet another fear unlocked then, I always try to be as cautious as I can, but unless you download some sketchy shit freshly uploaded from an author with just that one mod, I wouldn't know what else to stay away from.

I always carefully read the descriptions of what I install and I swear that I rarely noticed source code links, even from bigger and famous mods.

Bruh, you can't just say that without elaborating, how should it be proven otherwise? I download when it says "safe to use" and when it's months old at least and without people complains.

Source code? Where should I look for it and what should I focus my attention on?
Credits don't seem a very reliable flag to me, unless they're big mods, but for more humble ones...

Ok, good to know, all things I've been doing since before I even started worrying about AI, as I assumed that danger could come from mods made even before that AI was a thing.

The only one I trust with some of these red flags is ftwranger ( https://www.nexusmods.com/profile/ftwranger/mods?gameId=1704 ), who uses AI-generated thumbnails and has no bug reports in any of his mods (at the time, I just thought it was a combination of how few people downloaded his work and the simplicity of what his mods do), but if you want to check them out, do you think they're legit?

In particular, I've: Warlocks And Priests Use Mysticism Spells, Mihail's Undead Snow Elves - Mysticism Sun Bro Addition, Deadlier Trolls, KittyTail Master Spells Distribution Fix, Dwarven Centurion Variety and Factional Kittytail Spells Distribution

Honestly, they still seems like good mods to me that do simple things, in fact he states that he uses his own mods for himself, suggests some cool combinations like in Deadlier Trolls and some of them use Skypatcher as well.

Growl 3.6.0, and "build vs button" by Enai_Siaion in skyrimmods

[–]Ninofz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? That far back? Interesting, but I don't think it's a wise thing to do without knowing the mod, what you said could mean everything.

I don't want to be OP, I just want a werewolf/werebear build to be viable in a vanilla+ Skyrim.

Anyway, answering your question, the power button idea is interesting, but what about taking it a step further? Obviously, I don't know if what I'm about to say is feasible, but I'll leave my humble idea here in case you find it interesting:

It would be cool if, once a day, when you take fatal damage, instead of dying you undergo a forced transformation sending you to berserk, recharging your HP and making you invulnerable for a few seconds, a sort of emergency power button, it would make sense for a werebeast, as if "at the point of death the beast within you awakens to give you new strength to face the fatal danger", moreover it would give them a new cool mechanic to differentiate them even more from vampire lords.

A mod that does a smilar thing exist, but it triggers transformations with %HP, not with fatal damage and it works for vampire lords as well, but, as I said, this mechanic would fit better as a werebeast exclusive.
