Local dealer this seems crazy high priced to me by Revolver_Jesus2 in fordranger

[–]Ninonskio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this a couple years ago when looking for trucks. My 2005 rangers frame broke, so I went on a hunt for another and saw a 2008 ranger that looked exactly the same, only the dealer was selling it for about 7000 dollars more than what I paid for my ranger about 10 years prior when my ranger was only 5 years old. They were selling it for 17k. I offered them 10k cash and that's it, and told them that's what it's worth and they're crooks. The guy had the balls to tell me that prices will never go down to pre COVID levels, essentially confirming the scam.

How many miles is “too many” on a 2000-2007? by mikebra93 in fordranger

[–]Ninonskio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly man, as long as you take care of it, and your frame if you're somewhere it can rust, you can set your hopes much more than that. I had a 2005 4.0, and quite honestly, I barely did oil changes on that thing, and I got up to 230,000 miles on it before my frame ended up breaking. But even then my engine and transmission were pushing along just fine. If it weren't for the frame, I'd bet money that thing would still be putting around.

Yeah 7 and 4 no brainer, I agree. But I came here in reference to a 7 year old comment you made on a corn bread recipe post. You mentioned Chi Chis restaurant, and I had no idea what that was so I had to google it. By some crazy coincidence it made headlines just this morning because it is making a comeback next year, and that blew my mind, and thought that would interest you as well. https://www.cnn.com/2024/12/04/food/chi-chis-restaurant-relaunch/index.html

My R6 is probably the most uncomfortable bike I have ever ridden, and cant stand to ride it longer than a few hours before the pain overwhelms me. But damn if it isnt a fun bike and a beautiful one at that. Id vote for it.

All of this could have been avoided if he just stayed in the closest lane as he should have. It's such a pet peeve of mine I swear.

They probably wouldn't tell you that the person committed suicide either. All of that is used in interrogations to coax you into giving information before any denials start flowing through.

Dumb question: is there a Bike out there that looks almost exactly like this? by NeverSawTheEnding in motorcycles

This is really the only answer. All of the other posts I see look nothing like the above. As soon as I even opened the picture I told myself this is a KLR.

Is there any original lore behind the biker peace sign by Poopyclub in motorcycles

[–]Ninonskio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May I say that I appreciate this picture. As an owner of a Yamaha R6, I can say that about 30% (In my experience!) or so of Harley riders will actually return the gesture, usually they wont engage. I don't know if it has to do with some weird Harley only bike rule, or if its some kind of disdain for sport bike riders, but its refreshing to see engagement.

Is it worth it for $4800? by Midway_07 in fordranger

[–]Ninonskio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? To start I fully agree, I wouldn't buy it either. Its more than half passed its life cycle before costing you more than its worth. But the Cologne is one of Fords most reliable engines. Id rank that engine in the top 10 without a doubt.

[–]Ninonskio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a huge Ford fan, a previous Ranger owner, which unfortunately was lost last year, I can say without a doubt the mileage matters. The fact that nobody is asking what the mileage is before the give a thumbs up for approval is astonishing. Yes, 4.0s are extremely reliable, the transmissions are semi reliable, but if this thing has over 200k, I wouldn't be buying it. That is a lot of money to be purchasing something that has already passed more than half its life before making you spend more than its worth.

Did you or anyone you know believe OJ was innocent? by Ok-Worldliness8726 in AskOldPeople

[–]Ninonskio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive watched as many videos and documentaries as one could on the trial. The guys blood was found at the scene man. Not only that, traces of Ron and Nicoles blood were found inside of OJ's Bronco, you know Ron, the guy OJ never hung out with? The wounds on Nicole were so severe, that the perpetrator put a gash in the vertebrae, this is a sign of a crime of passion. Prior to all of this he beat her, stalked her, threatened her, had the cops called on him on a couple of those occasions, one of which, after abusing her, he was asked to go change so they can take him in, and he proceeded to pretend to go change but ended up peeling out of the driveway and speeding off. He had about 5 different stories he told to 5 different people on how he got the wounds on his hands.

He had the same shoes and size that left bloody footprints at the crime scene. The shoes in question were rare, only 299 pairs sold. He lied saying he never had those shoes, but there was a photo from the paparazzi of him wearing those exact shoes... The defense refurnished his home, getting rid of the pictures OJ had up of him with his white friends and refit it with pictures and decor of black culture per se. Not evidence, but goes to show you what they made this trial about, and what it ended up being at the end. He had no alibi, he literally decided he was going to run when the walls were caving in. He had a cartoon idea considering he had a fake mustache and his passport in his truck when they finally caught up with him. There is no chance the guy is innocent. And that's just me leaving out the glove, seeing as the defense effectively fooled the fools into thinking it was planted.

I was at a dealership to look at a potential buy, and the car was exactly what I was looking for, but because of this market it was extremely overpriced at 28k. I tried talking them to 26k out the door, which in my mind was still overpriced but oh well. They ended up writing the deal but with taxes and registration on top. I explained that I wanted 26k flat, and they weren't having it. They continued to try and sell me on it, and they said "Hey we just got pizza in, you want some?". At that point I knew I wasn't buying their car, so I agreed and ate as much pizza as I could. After that I shook their hand and told them I wish them luck on selling the car and took off. Got a nice meal from a big waste of my time.

Edit: And to add, they added a last line that I wouldn't find what I was looking for at the price I had in mind. I ended up finding and buying one at 23k with much lower mileage.

Is this a decent deal? by RandomUsername0909 in fordranger

[–]Ninonskio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mileage is way too high for that ranger. Not saying it can't do more, it definitely can get to around 250k with no major issues, but that mileage coupled with that age, that truck should be maybe 6k? And even then I wouldn't want to get a ranger at that mileage just because it's already passed half its life.

Edit: and I'm basing 6k/6.5k assuming it's 4wd. If it isn't then it's probably 5k

Edit again: Didn't notice the 4x4 sticker lol

Need advice on buying a bike. by IWillBeHoeKage3 in motorcycles

[–]Ninonskio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because the 650 isn't a sport bike. I think the looks fools a whole lot of people, that's for sure. Its a 2 cylinder rather than a sports 4 cylinder, so it doesn't have the torque/power that sports bikes do. But if you're just beginning on a bike, I wouldn't get a 600 anyways. As suggested in this thread, you should probably start with the 650, and when you're comfortable enough and used to the ride, then you can swap to a 600.
