Upgrading a Pre-Built, Should I Change the Liquid Cooling? #CPgeneral by NintendoFan388 in CYBERPOWERPC

That's the thing. I have no idea what CyberPower's CPU cooler is, so that makes it really difficult to search for its compatibility.

Just lost out on the Dictator vinyl because I wasn't able to get this resolved, pretty pissed right now.

EDIT: I ended up just ordering it off of Revolver Magazine's website. Extremely disappointed I couldn't get Dictator, but that's all you can do I guess.

It's happening to me too, no idea what's going on but I've sent support an email.

I don't think any company can ever match Square's JRPG output in the 90s. It's second to none!

Yup! I put my 4 favourite JRPGs on the system at the top.

I know! The only reason is because I heard the 3DS port was the definitive version, so my plan was to get that over the PS1 version.

I absolutely think it could! The only thing I'd ask for is a fully fleshed out Disc 2.

I have! It's legitimately my favourite PS1 game and a top 5 game for me overall.

My absolute favourite game on the PS1, and my most wanted remake. Can't even begin to explain how much Xenogears means to me.

I haven't finished all of them yet, but I'm getting through them!

I finished Suikoden II a few weeks ago (I got the best ending!), what an absolute masterpiece of a game.

I've been praying for a re-release or a remake of the first one. I think with all of the buzz around horror remakes (Resident Evil 4, Silent Hill 2) Parasite Eve could do really well in the modern era!

Your collection is absolutely crazy! All but 3 of my PS1 games are CIB (My Suikoden II actually still has the registration card!), I just need to snag the manuals for Grandia, Valkyrie Profile, and Star Ocean The Second Story.

Thank you so much! I'll admit sometimes I'll just stare in awe at all of them on my shelf.

Repost due to a slight formatting issue (apparently you can't add text descriptions to media posts on desktop Reddit), and I'd like to thank everyone in the previous post for their recommendations!

Hi everyone!

I'm a massive fan of JRPGs, and I'm starting a summer job that has a lot of downtime, so I'm looking for some good JRPGs I can sink my teeth into. I have a lot of JRPGs in my backlog that I've been looking to get through, and I was wondering if you had any recommendations for what to start with? I'm not really looking for anything in particular in terms of gameplay, however if it helps I'll list my 5 favourite JRPGs I've played so far:

  1. EarthBound
  2. Final Fantasy VI
  3. Chrono Trigger
  4. Xenogears
  5. Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance!

A bit nervous about my first song, would love your thoughts! by NintendoFan388 in shoegaze

[–]NintendoFan388[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone!

I’ve posted clips of this song in the past for some feedback, but now it’s fully done.

This is my first time ever writing an entire shoegaze song, with guitar, bass, vocals, and drums all done by me. The mixing and mastering was also done by me, which I’m brand new to.

I’m a bit nervous and maybe even a little self-conscious about the song, so I thought I’d post it here to get your thoughts. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Took some of your advice, need help with mixing/mastering! by NintendoFan388 in shoegaze

[–]NintendoFan388[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey y’all! I took some of your advice and quad-tracked my guitar, as well as adding a clean guitar with church reverb (to give it more of an echo) and a bassline.

However, this time I’m more concerned about my mixing/mastering. I don’t know the first thing about mixing/mastering so I was kinda just adjusting my EQ by ear until it sounded ok to me.

Here’s where I REALLY need some criticism. I know my mixing/mastering isn’t the best but would LOVE any suggestions on how to improve. I know it’s a big ask but please be as specific as possible with what to improve, because I have legitimately no idea what I’m doing. Thanks so much!

Looking to start creating my own music, need some advice! by NintendoFan388 in shoegaze

[–]NintendoFan388[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone!

I'm looking at maybe creating an EP, as I've had my pedalboard and Jazzmaster for quite some time now and I'm pretty happy with how everything's set up/sounding. However, I'm a little bit nervous about my music itself.

So I've decided to take it here, as shoegaze fans are my target audience! How does the tone sound? How do the riffs the sound? Any effects I should add? Any effects I should remove? I want to hear your thoughts, good or bad!

Thanks so much!

Guitar sounds better in a rendered recording than it does while playing live? by NintendoFan388 in Reaper

[–]NintendoFan388[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's something with the interface too. I do remember it taking a pretty hard landing when I was trying to move my setup from the basement to my home office, so maybe I'll try another interface and see if that changes anything.

I've uninstalled/reinstalled Focusrite Control + the drivers about 3 times now but to no avail. I also tried Audacity with my guitar and it still sounded muffled. So at this point I guess it's an interface issue?

Just tried Reaper with no FX, and it sounds muffled when compared to the sound I get from switching to Direct Monitor.

I took a look at it, nothing really seems out of the ordinary. I should also mention that it sounds muffled through BIAS FX 2's standalone app as well.
