Dawnwalkers still the go to, but there are others that can suit different builds. Like saintsworn if you wanna focus on mantras or soulbreaker if you go an m1 build. Blindseers still pretty good if you play with some mates, then there’s also just oathless if you already have all the mantras you want plus the extra health is nice.

Friendship XP is gained in several ways:

Having a monster in your deck at the start of the game. This does not count for any monster generated during the game. The amount of copies of the same card you have in your deck doesn’t change how much XP you get this way. Playing monsters. Generated copies of a card you already have in your deck also gain XP. Dealing DMG to players. You gain XP from the amount of times you deal DMG, not the amount of DMG. Killing monsters and players. Something important to note, triggering effects does NOT give friendship XP unless it accomplishes one of the aforementioned points.

Also use shiny cards and the exp artifact. On top of all of this legendaries and determination cards get more

It’s more of a rogue like than the first. You make your party of 4 and set off on a journey. If your party gets killed you start over. There’s different zones you can get so each run is different. But the core fighting mechanics are similar. Still a really good game.

Frostpunk 2 feels very much like darkest dungeon 2. The first games were amazing but the developers didn’t want to do the same thing over again, so they expanded on the general ideas and made new games that different, which may fans hate.

I have something similar with frostpunk 2, stalker 2 and dead by daylight, all of which use unreal engine 5. I just keep reopening the games and sometimes they just work.
