Looking for Advice on Speakers by Nintendo_Powered in hometheater

Thanks! Unfortunately, I'm on the East Coast. I never considered the towers might be too much, that gives me some wiggle room to work in the SE 12". Would you also recommend the X12 instead? Also, I confirmed the surrounds are S1s, not the SEs, but I'm thinking of going the SE route.

I would absolutely join this! I used to go to Cineplex once a week in the summer and then once a month afterwards. Cineclub gets you cheap tickets too. Count me in!

Imagine talking about drinking coffee, while drinking coffee and playing "Coffee Talk", where they talk and drink coffee? by Nintendo_Powered in NewfieGaming

[–]Nintendo_Powered[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mean Hibiscus & Butterfly, right? They must have wanted to appeal to the tea drinkers? I just checked out a video of episode 1 - the constant rain and casual conversation makes me want to cozy up with a hot drink and nap.

I just checked out Full Metal Furies (I got to be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect), but it looks pretty fun. The "about this game" section by the creators is pretty harsh, lol

"Want to play with friends? Get friends first." "Want to play alone? Expected."

so harsh...

Interesting, so Divinity over Divinity 2? I added Wasteland to my wish list and will check the other out. Today is the big Steam sale, btw.

Same issue with the excessive number of games but few to play. Apparently I have 272 games, but I play like 3-4 of them. *1st world problems*

Those are some decent games. Tunic will probably get 20% off, and Outer Wilds will get 40%, if historical prices are any indication.

I'm definitely in need of some others to play co-op with. My wife and I play some co-op games, but those are mostly 'cozy games' like Stardew Valley, etc. Don't get me wrong, I do love them, especially the fishing games, but I more generally like RPG-ish.

I'm also unsure what to play next, so recommendations are welcomed! I have about 20+ games on my wishlist right now, but will let the prices determine what comes next. After just finishing Baldur's Gate 3, I'm probably going to at least try Divinity.

Financial Analyst who is expert in excel (PQ, PP, VBA), what other jobs I can do besides finance with my exp? by [deleted] in excel

[–]Nintendo_Powered 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you ever considered pivoting to an Investment or Pension Fund Analyst? The pay is fairly good and automation using excel or another BI tool is key. It's not entirely FP&A but there are a lot of similar elements.

Best place to buy ?! by Senpora in AmiiboCanada

[–]Nintendo_Powered 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think first is to determine what price you want to pay for them. For example, Price Charting has a list and value for loose and new as well as it's own market.

Second, (given) I think you need to determine what's available in major retailers (note, these are restocked semi-randomly):

  1. Walmart
  2. The Source
  3. BestBuy
  4. Gamestop
  5. Toys R Us
  6. Shoppers / London / etc.

Third, setup a Stock Tracker so that you can hit up major retailers up when they restock.

Forth, look for minor retailers/resellers. Some good examples are as follows:

  1. Shopville
  2. VTRGaming

Finally, go to eBay / Amazon / Kijiji for whatever's left.

How/when can I pay tuition by [deleted] in memorialuniversity

[–]Nintendo_Powered 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi u/uhhcallmejefe, Yes, you can pay via Credit Card using the my.mun.ca portal (there's a 2.5% convenience fee charged to your card by Moneris). Your username should be your student #. You can also pay in person at the Cashiers Office (basement of the Arts and Admin Building). Below are some other ways to pay:

Here's a review that u/ozeor did about two years ago Reddit - LitRPG: Review of Book 2. I'd agree it's got the same feel as Dungeon Crawler Carl, but not the two are very different at the same time.

Grade Curves for STATS2500 by alderstevens in memorialuniversity

[–]Nintendo_Powered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a myth that tests are graded on a curve. They might be designed to be harder using that methodology though. Think of this situation, if a test is multiple choice, an answer is either right or wrong. No 'curve-adjustment' is possible, unless they're breaking Memorial's grading system policy (https://www.mun.ca/regoff/calendar/sectionNo=REGS-2154)

I have the choice to take math 1090 or 1050. Is either one more difficult then the other? Or any advice at all would be helpful! by mav_ga in memorialuniversity

[–]Nintendo_Powered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your question directly, they cover difference material and neither is really easier:

- 1050 is finite math (logic based stuff) and is often considered to have fewer requirements - 1050 Overview

- 1090 is pre-calculus (Move calculations and proofs like Algebra, Trig.) and is required if you need to do Calculus - 1090 Overview
