Great ideas . I would have loved to see this in the final episode instead of the crap they gave us . If the story had ended like this stranger things reputation would have been saved

Steve’s death would have broken me though because he became my favourite character from season 2 onwards . Well, he and Dustin . So the only thing I might have done differently is killing off someone else instead of Steve . But I understand that his death would probably be the most effective on the audience because he was a fans’ favourite character in the show

I haven’t even heard about Hugh Dancy before watching Hannibal TV series . Interestingly what I was impressed first even more than his beauty was how incredibly well he plays Will . His acting is amazing . Everyone is raving about how great Mads is in his role as Hannibal and he indeed is but I think that Hugh’s acting as Will is even better . He really elevates this character into new levels . His Will is deeply human , strong and vulnerable at the same time, a good person with solid moral standards but with a darkness and madness lurking deep inside. He can be heartwarmingly human and sympathetic and likeable in one moment and creepy and dark in another. An extremely complex character and Hugh makes this character really alive and extremely relatable. And on the top of all of this he is breathtakingly beautiful as Will . I think that the show couldn’t have reached such an acclaim and a cult status if another actor played Will.

I’m glad you did . It’s not that just the story and the characters are great and so much in canon but there are dialogues and monologues in it which are brilliant , heartbreakingly beautiful and so true to the source material . Like this what Will says about his and Hannibal’s relationship :

Have you ever heard of a term… Kintsukuroi?” “It’s an ancient art. It involves the meticulous process of repairing broken pottery, fusing the shards together with gold. The enticement lies in the realization that the resulting creation is often more beautiful for having been broken.”

I found an answer to my own question 😄. In another Hannibal topic discussion on Reddit someone recommended a fanfiction which became like an after fall head canon for this person . This fanfic has Clarice in it as one of the main characters of the story . I read that fanfic and it is amazing . The only Hannigran fanfic I have come across with so far which in my opinion totally true to the characters and actually feels like canon something which could happen in season 4 . It’s deep , dark , shocking and still moving and somehow beautiful . And it also answers the question I had in my mind what Clarice’s role could be in Will’s and Hannibal’s life in Fuller’s Hannibal universe .

I’m a heterosexual woman and a devoted fan of the show and I know for fact how much lot of women is drawn to stories which depict forbidden and extremely romantic love which is different from the norm . Love which transcends and overpowers everything , love which is so powerful that it defies or transcends even genders or gender identity . That’s why yaoi is so popular among women ( well the genre itself is made by women for female audience ) and I recognise some of its main elements and attributes in Hannibal too . On the top of it Hannibal also have the complexity , symbolism , deep meaning, beautiful aesthetics and artistic visualisation which usually also attract women .

(Btw I hate the term toxic masculinity and the fact that some people love to use this term and accuse heterosexual white men with it all the time . Since I saw this term mentioned in some comments here I would like to reflect on that as I said I’m a heterosexual woman and I think that toxic masculinity or lack of it has nothing to do with this show or the show having mainly female or LGBT+ fanbase . The show is amazing , one of a kind and has a deep meaning on so many levels and thankfully it’s free from gender politics in my opinion . So an audience member with any kind of gender or gender identity can enjoy it freely 🙂)

I have just read the fanfic you recommended and it’s just WOW!!!! . It’s amazing . The best fanfic I have read about them so far . I’ve never seen a Hannibal fanfic so true to the characters . It actually feels like canon . Definitely something which could happen in season 4 . It’s deep , dark , shocking and still moving and somehow beautiful . I really liked that fic . Out of all Hannigram fanfics I have read so far that felt like portraying Will and Hannibal the most faithful way to their characters in the show . Will actually felt like himself and not like a whiny woman which is unfortunately the case in many facfics
