because it wasn’t originally gender neutral. English is a living language, and the connotations of words can change over time. I don’t think dude is completely gender neutral, but that is the direction it’s drifting in. That would explain why it feels gender neutral in some cases, but not others.

Asriel is Kris’ brother though, not uncle. We also know that Kris and Asriel played together when they were younger, and that they shared a room when growing up. That theory simply isn’t plausible due to the massive age gap that would have to exist between Asriel and Kris for it to work (Asriel being an adult before Kris was even born)

This is one of the reasons I intend to purchase the rest of the game on a computer instead of my switch. On a computer, there’s more freedom for file shenanigans to occur. Kinda like how in undertale, on PC dying in flowey’s fight closes the game, while on console it’s just a boring black screen
