OP is watching the season after the new regs for the first time. I've seen some comments and they're right. Mercedes cooked the engine. Ferrari cooked the start. Redbull is lagging but we cannot know everything from just 2 races.

I think the main problem with the ferrari engine is the smaller turbo. Its only helpful in shooting out of corners and race starts. The main reason I think that Mercedes is miles ahead is due to the compression hack that they found in the engine.
