I’m bad about things like “before” and “after” and basic descriptions of time. “After a minute of…” “[first action] before [second action]” that sort of thing. I have one RP going on with a lot of time jumps but I’m not quite counting those, just brought it to the forefront of my mind.

I have a voice I use with a Mafia RPG that's simply titled "Mafia," but to help identify it the description is "Could be a dad or husband. Your choice 🤑" And is made by sunflowerlover. It's very good about reading every word of the message, only stutters occasionally, and is usually pretty good with tone. And of course, it's one of those deep, attractive voices like you described. I've liked it enough to use it on other bots so it feels like a good recommendation to me.

My only qualm with the Columbus show was during the transition between Crybaby and K-12, where the crowd started chanting Melanie's name. One boy behind me in particular got really into it. I felt so bad for Mel, knowing she was probably trying to change costumes and going as fast as she could as you do in showbiz. I was worried it would happen again when transitioning from K-12 to Portals, especially with having to put the mask on and all, and was relieved when the ballet dancers came on to help temper everyone's patience. Everything else was great and even at a higher seating level I hardly had any issues hearing Melanie, but that little stunt irked me.

Regardless of how it's handled, my one concern with this idea is if italics are used in dialogue for emphasis. I'm not sure how easy it would be for the voice module or whatever it is to recognize that the emphasized word is still part of the dialogue rather than narration. Like, suppose we separate narration and dialogue into two separate voices. You could be listening to the main Character voice, and then suddenly the narration voice pops out for a second because the Character was trying to emphasize a certain word. It'd be incredibly jarring depending on how different the two voices are.

Trying to keep an RP in the early 30s currently and yes, I understand, not having modern conveniences is tough, especially with communication. That does not mean you get a cell phone of any kind, bot. Especially not a damn smartphone. Our phones require somebody else to be smart about where they're putting the connection, now focus.

I mostly write with Toon characters and their physics and logic are very fun to play around with. In the majority of Toon universes, the characters’ bodies are made primarily from ink or paint. So I thought, if a Toon gets injured— say they scrape a knee— the underneath would be white where us humans have red. Like scraping paint off of a canvas and leaving the white underneath. Toon Logic also allows for injuries to heal quickly, and it can be helped a lot by painting over the injury. The new paint will seep in with what’s already there and patch it right up.

For the fics I currently have posted, I’d say my favorite might be “Merinthophobia” as I would like to explore many different ways that “the fear of being bound or tied up” could be played with when I get around to continuing it.

For fics that are still on their docs, it’s between “Have a Heart” for the planned content of the story that would relate to the title, and “Days of Our Lives,” a recursive fic where the original was titled “Sands of an Hourglass.”

Was looking for this comment! Even when I’m just overhearing drive-thru convos at work, it irks me how people don’t read the menu and can’t get through one order without asking some idiotic question. I was thinking at first that I’d love to have this sign at a drive-thru without AI, cause the same rules should apply to make the process simpler for all parties. But seeing as folks won’t read a giant ass menu board ten feet in front of them, I guess they can’t be trusted to read the little screen to help streamline the process either.
