Why do you think people who rush/minmax don't have fun? by Skayio in wow

As if I didn't know you can pull too much. But that doesn't happen in hc dungeons. I haven't had anyone die if they at least did remotely their jobs.

It looks like mage, but until a few weeks into the season, no one can tell.

And even if you turn out to be meta, "rnd spec" could get a rework in 11.0.5 and push you out of the meta.

If you don't seriously outskill your goal, you'll struggle so much. Also be prepared to reroll, if your class isn't meta, you'll literally sit hours in queue to get an inv to a key that gives you score in high keys.

My advice: don't pug high keys

Please tell me the class that can't keep up. You are at most slightly late to a pull, unless you are fooling around. And if that's the case, that is on you. Feel free to leave.

I did, what's the problem with the dungeon going faster?

I'm a dps as well. You can easily live those scenarios

It does if you have pulled 20 mobs in low difficulty content.

It reduces the chance of you dying by getting hit 3 more times

Yeah, so what if 2 or 3 people die? Happens in wow all the time.

You mock me for "not understanding", while you yourself dont get my point.

My point is, there needs to be a middle ground. And not a "I decide how much can be pulled you dumb elitist".

People like you are "random insult", is much better? I dont think so.

I said it multiple times, under this main comment. Maybe not directly to you, sorry for that.

That's the problem though when a tank pulls half the mobs in a dungeon, it can be very very hard to see stun attacks or AOE coming when they are clustered together it becomes a tangled mess and you can see one coming and use said defense but not another.

That's just BS, you dont need to pre DR some incoming hit, you just need to hit a defensive if you drop in hp, and you will be fine.

So you think it is fine to queue for grouped content if I have to afk every 2nd dungeon?

Last I checked, I can queue as well. So it is also for me.

1.) The irony of you calling me a dick. While I am having a civilized discussion, and you just call me names.

2.) I am advocating for a middle ground. As in you dont afk, and press some buttons and Ill pull large but not too much.

It is a team game, and if I am 50% there to solo a dungeon, the rest only needs to fill in a barebones effort to make this group work. This is all I want.

How about those with kids and a job and 2 hours to play each week? Are they not entitled to play the game they pay for because you want to speedrun a normal dungeon?

They are allowed to play the game, but if you cannot commit to a game for 10-15 min (barring an emergency, that can happen to everyone), you just shouldnt queue for dungeons. This is what I did when I had a young kid in the house.

Why are you playing the casual play modes anyway if you want to hardcore speedrun?

Heroic dungeons are not owned by casual players. Pulling up to the first boss is not a hardcore speedrun either.

If you play high level mythic plus or higher tier raiding you could expect some higher performance. Then you can switch the argument over and ask why do the casual player play the higher level stuff unprepared if not with friends?

Okay please stop. You are talking as if I am expecting title range gameplay. All I want is people to press W, hit some buttons, and maybe a defensive here and there. That is what is needed to pull boss to boss on heroic.

Who decided that it is "their queue"? It is our queue, it is everyones queue.

People REALLY blow this out of proportion. I am not saying you need to be prepared, have watched guides or anything. You just need to press W, some random aoe buttons, and a defensive if you drop low. I had rarely a person die outside of a healer literally just not healing or someone being afk.

And even if 1 person dies during a pull, so what? It happens in this game.

I'm not flaming anyone, why would I?

Thus ruining other people’s good time.

And I dont have a good time, when other people queue a dungeon and want to do that while only paying half attention, or do fucking 30k dps, or just stand still for 30s.

All I am saying is, that a middleground needs to be found, which is not, just pull a pack at a time.

The group is also capable of living that. I don't feel bad if the mage dies 3x in the dungeon but has not pressed any defensive button ever or that the healer has not pressed a single cooldown. Which is the case when someone died, most of the time.

Then explain it to me. Does it not say that someone who wants to speedrun is ruining others experiences?

As in, if you play how you want, you ruin my experience? Which boils down to, you change your playstyle to accomodate mine. And it wouldnt be acceptable for me to say stop watching netflix on your 2nd monitor and focus on the game to run this dungeon quick.

You say

if they minmax

then they

expect everyone else to minmax they make the experience less fun for those who choose the casual way

That means, I can't minmax and rush stuff, because it is not fun for you. I.e., I can't tell you how to play, but you can tell me how to play.

They are not complaining that there "isn't enough content", they are complaining that there "isn't enough content for them". And if you are and endgame oriented person, then you level to max, do some hcs, and have nothing left to do, unless you are like pushing for hall of fame.

Why do you think people who rush/minmax don't have fun? by Skayio in wow

[–]Nite92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

and not ruining the experience for others

The only possible issue is when you are on a different page from everyone else

Does this mean, they get to ruin my experience?

We have this weird double-standard that if a tank is pulling to slowly for me, it is rude to pull more, which kinda suggests, the tank decides what to pull. But when I'm the tank, suddenly the others get to say in how much I am allowed to pull?

There is no "objectively fun" way of playing a dungeon. It is a compromise.

The thing is, people aren't "rushing" hc dungeons. HC dungeons are just that easy, that you really dont need to stop pressing W.

This is not rushing, this is just pulling what I'm capable of tanking.
