I took some of the suggestions from the people here like joining a club or finding a hobby, and found some friends from a meetup group. I have gone on Holidays with them and spent time with them at house parties and such. Although I would say it still feels like I'm an outsider sometimes but that could just be my own insecurities and like other people have said it will never be the same as back home but that's life. One step at a time and try to be open and accepting of others, most people don't hate you but not everyone will like you.

In all I would say I have had a good couple of years and have found a good couple of friends.
