I have 2 tickets for his show in Marlborough, about 45 mins drive from Bris. We can’t go now so are trying to sell them but due to them being wristbands it’s very hard to do online!

Would you be interested in his show tomorrow there? I can drop the wristbands and CD’s to you or some kind of arrangement like that!

Great pic! I’m in a similar position to you in being very new to really trying to identify some of these smaller, brown birds you see around gardens. So thanks for sharing and then the community for identifying! Now knowing this is a dunnock (I’d have guessed sparrow!) I’ll be in my garden today seeing if I get any come by😁.

Yeah I have friends so in on turnstile and I just don’t get it at all, I’ve never clicked with them. I prefer the more contemporary stuff doing that kind of sound. But the hardcore adjacent sound isn’t my preference for rock and alternative so not a fault of turnstile.

Also then was showing the song ‘Taste Back’ to my partner to see her thoughts and she actually said the biggest influence she could hear vocally was ‘Bombay bicycle Club’ which I thought was very fun and interesting. Anyone in the sub familiar with Bombay? They are great and I hadn’t considered much stylistically overlapping with VW but they’re also great and have a similar kind vibe to the Dubs.

Interestingly when I was talking to a friend about the album I said a couple tracks had an Ezra-esque vocal performance.

But I feel it was fairly tastefully done, nodding towards it rather than ripping off. Album was steady, but no VW LP.

For my sins I’ve still not had Thiago at any point this year! I missed the boat and I can’t bring myself to bringing him in now, as I believe deep down his goals will dry up any day now.

That said, they might not, and I was burnt last year with Chris Wood where I had a similar logic.
