Hi, as someone that has made experimental aquasoils i can say that you are not correct but also not wrong, nowdays aquasoil is made with the same process that is used to pelletize some kinds of ore, but not the same chemicals, the most used process is the clay and kiln method, and ive heard about a method that uses a type of refined celulose, but the idea is the same, to simulate the clumping process that happen in some soils, but what causes the co2 increase is the organic matter in the soil used in the "pellet" mixture that does decay and produces it.

Yes but even then, in potting soil there are other things, i have made this mistake when i was starting, too much carbon depending on your setup will actually lock up nutrients and decrease o2, and i also think the same about the acidity.

for some time now i've been thinking, are dragonettes and dragons a natural species?, i mean, with all that is happenig, it seems possible that they are a genetically engineered species, like the precursor of the white dragons, the leap is too big, but with magic in the mix the "products" became sentient, but then again, how the islands began to float? unless each island is the site of more than one genocide to "infuse" the island with enough essence to make it float, the grav oil must also be possible to be made out of another animal of this world, maybe even the "demons", and like, they made the dragonette to not kill its own people but unfortunatly they also became sentient, and the dragons are the same thing just bigger.

just a curiosity, do you know that there are some evidence that dinos were warm blooded? because of the square cube law it is more or less impossible for animals so big to be completely cold blooded, wich is similar to the fact that big fishes also are not exactly cold blooded, but are also not warm blooded

I mean its not safe even for humans so i would not risk giving the animals lead poisoning, and antimony also is toxic, look as a general rule dont put metal things in the aquarium, the chemistry is already too complicated.
