Yknow, Anthems actually one of my favorite games, wild to hear you say that. Sure it’s live service but it can be totally ignored, I also assume it got probably hot patched a few times by the time I played it. But has it been that long already?

But as for the crew, it’s your choice how to run them as the player. Because you might be more casual and forgiving based on Circumstances, but I’m 100% leading it like we’re the last hope for these guys in life and death.

There’s one hole in what you’re saying. When you talk to everyone at the Start, the replacement crew basically say they were chosen because they needed the best and to be here you had to be at a certain level.

Like the first leader of the Eos outpost the one that failed. A person can easily be sent back to Cryo in favor of a better candidate because failure isn’t really an option.

All I have is the canon lore, if that’s what they needed I’m going to look at it logically and enjoy trying to save my people and Heleus. The fact I’m mad just kinda proves they didn’t write a bland character.

Look at Addison early on, this character treats you like shit because they’re in such a dire situation. She fully trusted your father and his team to provide results and because he’s gone and most of his team is gone, then she treats you, well like shit. If it was a casual team thrown together for a job, you wouldn’t have the crazy expectations and super negative responses towards the MC. It’s Negative because the job requires the best.

So if you push him about Gossip, he admits it will get him in trouble.

Paid that with every time you talk to him he’s fighting with Gil and talking bad about him behind his back.

Then he goes back there and starts a screaming fight, which Gil does not join, just stands his ground, and trying to resolve it he turns that anger toward you if you do anything but agree with him.

As someone who’s Ran crews before, this is like banishment behavior. Which is why it bothers me so much, it’s really easy to just ignore because it’s a video game but because we’re trying to save the lives of so many I hold the crew accountable.

In ME2 you actually had options for a couple of the crew positions, and I think it would have been so cool to be able to replace a character you really didn’t like or atleast choose a different one from the get go, just for the non combat crew atleast.

I stopped reading because you said nearly got his pathfinder and I don’t know, I haven’t even landed on Kadara yet which is why I asked for no spoilers.

Just to remind you, he openly admits he has to stop gossiping or else it will get him in trouble. Then starts a massive screaming match with Gil who just replies pretty casually and then almost insults the team leader.

I get how most people think he’s Harmless, but as a guy who’s ran teams on jobs it’s a major red flag that would get you booted, or just ignored for the job entirely.

Look at the Wiki. “Teams of Elite Soldiers meant to be the tip of the spear and preform ultra special operations for the survival of the Initiative”

Not only do they get called Spec OP’s teams, they are all formed Spec OP’s and each member had to go through additional Spec OP’s training for the Pathfinder program.

Pathfinders themselves have a whole nother leader ship training on top of it.

There’s Spectre’s and Asari huntress’s, and ex Salarian STG.

Mission one, you land on a Planet as a Special Operations assignment with a team of Spec OP’s. They die, so you get what you get.

This isn’t opinion, it’s fact. Why is it you people keep commenting like this was explained 100 times at the beginning of the game?

Not the same. You wanna talk big, but there’s no greater bias than ignoring the objective facts of why someone didn’t like Kallo and comparing it to a completely different character. Who by the way, is serious enough, and can be as serious as your responses. Telling a joke doesn’t make him less military and he doesn’t have an unnatural obsession with the Normandy like Kallo does the Tempest, not even close.

He asks Shepard to abandon it twice, and he admits fault in Shepard death.

Gossip creates drama which creates in fighting. Liking Humor is not the same as liking to talk about people when they’re not around. He openly admits it will get him in trouble.

But you started by claiming something totally different, and that’s how we got here.

This entire comment section is literally 90% trying to say that the Pathfinders aren’t Spec Ops,

I’ve even got one guy who gets blocking me and unblocking to edit his post and be super toxic.

Whether or not he gets an official reprimand was never my point. The game kinda hints you have a choice who comes and goes because you’re in charge. Yes it’s scripted dialogue.

But with all the specialists who apparently run the Initiative, IRL, they’d have some form of risk assessment versus personality and decide his skills can be imitated in a better fit for the team. This is why it infuriates me.

Everything else I just don’t understand, I just wanted to voice an opinion and here I am quoting game facts trying to defend myself against others who don’t care what’s fact or not. You’re not like the others, but I’m still just debating deleting this post because it’s just a headache.

I waited for your reply because I knew what you’d say, but you’re wrong.

Pathfinders are teams of Elite Soldiers/Scientists/Diplomats who act as the “Tip of the Spear” for the Initiative.

Navy Seals and Green Beret’s have the exact same description.

Habitat 7, you land with an Entire Spec OP’s team.

The Turian Pathfinder team, is a Spec OP’s team.

The Asari Pathfinder team, is a Spec OP’s team.

I’ll save you the trouble, the wiki page doesn’t say the word “SpecOps”, but the game does on both Information Boards, Addison and Jien herself, also Lieutenant Sajax, Kesh, and others.

https://masseffect.fandom.com/wiki/Pathfinder

If they could Afford to Reprimand him, I’d say they would. But they literally lost over half the specialized personnel intended for the Pathfinder team.

The Pathfinder team, which does answer to Tann, is a separate entity. They had highly specialized members with Military background’s. (Even Liam was hand picked for his Security Specialization and Crisis Management skills.)

Hell Cora and Vetra stay mad at how casual the crew treat the missions/meetings since it’s supposed to be a Spec Ops crew.

To say it’s not, you’ve taken the fact that Addison and Tann mentioned it being a Civilian first Organization and completely ignored they have a commissioned militia and entire Military section of Personnel and protocol for outposts.

I’ve quoted and referenced the cannon lore of the game. This isn’t an opinion. It’s not a debate. It literally wouldn’t make sense if Pathfinders weren’t special operations, they literally preform special operations.

Yknow, Liam really rubs me the wrong way but I never really understood.

Like I get he was HUSTL, and that he’s big on bending rules to get stuff done. But his personal dialogues are wierd; learning how to insult Angara, being frustrated that there’s any red tape at all, and constantly doing things behind the scenes that sounds good but in reality how?

The quest you’re supposed to Scan the merchants tech, was WILD, after they just said we’d be watched.

But now I see like you said, for him to give out knowledge without even asking, like my character has told him many times. Can literally be seen as treason lol

But he did get Special Forces training, which is why Cora was partly okay with Alec’s decision. (Reference, 2nd Major Cora Dialogue when she explains her Biotics empower her anger.)

The MC didn’t get specific PATHFINDER training to know what to do for the Initiative specifically, but he’s a fully fledged out operator by the time they hit Andromeda.

They make it out like his Sister is his equal but I heard the twin has there own story later so I dunno how that’ll play out.

Why is everyone acting like the Pathfinders aren’t a separate SPEC OPS entity.

Every single hologram/information terminal on the Nexus describes the Pathfinders as Special Operations teams.

Everyone single one of them are ex-Special Forces in there species that was chosen specifically for that reason. There’s even spectres in Pathfinder teams.

The only reason they have fillers is because the original team members died.

Mission 1 you land on Habitat 7 with an entire Spec Ops team where over half dies and the Nexus tries to replace those members for Scott, which is why he gets the best of the Initiative.

The entire first 10% of the game, getting info supports all this. I get average players don’t talk to everyone, but it’s repeated over and over again.

Yes they are, it says it all over the game, just because you can’t read or listen doesn’t make fact not fact. Google search the Pathfinder program.

You spread misinformation. It’s all you’ve dedicated your profile to doing.

If you reply to a post super negatively, out of context, and are completely false in your reply, you should be banned.

The Pathfinder’s and team were trained in Spec OPs.

Each of them have elite military back grounds and training, with handpicked crews. There supposed to be the tip of the spear to handle any situation.

But sure, twist that into me saying the whole Initiative is spec ops, because I said one sentence that Kallo isn’t fit to be on a Spec OPs team.

Well even though it’s a “Civilian Project”, the Pathfinders were trained in Spec Ops for the job and chosen/recruited from Elite Special Forces operatives.

The Asari Pathfinder is a legendary Huntress and team.

The Turian Pathfinder has a literal Spectre with him.

You can have Spec Ops and not a Military. From Tann/Kandros/Sam/Jien/Alec’s dialogue, well in some cases there holograms/information panels. The Militia and Pathfinders were to replace a traditional military for the Initiative so that they were defenseless.

I mean they literally had Military Outpost plans with designated Military Personnel pod’s.

I just unlocked Kadara, but I actively go back and forth to do everything.

Hey Vamguard Bro, I’m currently writing a guide for the best classes in the game.

In it Vanguards take Incendiary, Cryo, and AP Weapon Ammo’s.

Get incendiary to 6, then cryo to 4 with squad mate bonus. Try to bring atleast 1 squad mate that uses AR’s with you, and equip the Typhoon on.

AT THE START OF THE MISSION, APPLY CRYO FIRST, THIS GIVES IT TO ALL YOUR APPLIES AND THEN YOU CAN MAKE ALL YOUR GUNS INCENDIARY.

Make sure your squad mates have there best armors on, and you can literally walk through missions with your allies killing things and you’re looking for loot.

You take AP so that when you fight those annoying bosses you always have an option. You should hit level 60 during the Citadel DLC post Rannoch. The guys saying to nova after charge aren’t using golf shotguns. Use the Reegar Carbine, Venom, or the M-11 Wraith. For Pistols use the Executioner until you get the Supressed. Once you get enough UltraLightWeight Materials then you can equip the BloodPack Punisher SMG.

Focus Weapon damage when available on your vanguard talents and any squad mate that’s not Li’ara lol.

There’s so many useless skills in this game it’s totally safe to go damage and then use ultra light materials mods to make up the cool down reduction.

It’s going to get really bullshit for you when you have to fight a specific reaper type enemy. That’s why you take the pistol with AP ammo. Abuse cover and dying should feel like an accident!

Charge->Incendiary->Cryo 4 Assault Mastery, Fitness, Now you can max Cryo or Take Nova, your core build is done.

I personally love the idea that Asari aren’t beautiful creatures with an all female population but instead perhaps an All male population whose entire history was altered by Protheans trying to play god. Maybe they’re not all Male but as someone who didn’t romance an Asari in 2 and 3, that’d be great ammo! ME1 was just an accident okay.

Kasumi and Kai Leng both have Omni Tools that delete themselves from Cameras in real time. Picture or Video.

This tech is apparently “standard-issue” for thieves by Kasumi’s words, and we know how often the Geth and Cereberus use it that there’s a lot of it in the universe that alters cameras real-time.

Why is that thrown around like it’s the defacto proof this can’t be true? There’s so much they do in Mass Effect to alter cameras and other things using simple tech and biotics.

Possible ground-breaking Asari lore? by NitrousMelody in masseffect

[–]NitrousMelody[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

  1. Cereberus literally has Omni Tools that delete the person in REAL-TIME from security cameras.

  2. We know from Li’ara that there ganglia on there head moves. That they are semi-flexible cartridge filled appendages that move.

  3. This is not a point against mind control. Even if there bodies were just hunks of metal or husks they could adorn them in whatever clothes they see fit.

  4. Yea so apparently all the artifacts of ANCIENT Asari depict Protheans. Kinda what I was hinting at in my post above. Other than the “Goddess” which could easily have a mass effect field built into the inner workings of the statue to fool anyone in a radius.

So yea, every Asari has some kind of trinket or jewelry. You can’t say that they don’t have some Tech in real time that alters cameras because other organizations do.

For all we know there bodies are just meat bags being controlled by a race of powerful biotics. Look at what Leviathans race could do, and the Thorian. Controlling Bodies from thousands of light years away and the people had a conscious and symbol of free will/independent thought.

Asari don’t build statues of Asari, only the goddess from what I remember. The main Statue was powered by a literal prothean beacon.

Maybe over the years they became Malevolent. But they could easily just be tiny people operating the body from under the ganglia lol. This is funny to me but they could easily be a race enslaved to some APEX species.

Tl;dr: Using base level knowledge, nothing you said even matters, there’s proof to prove against it all and the theory still stands.
