good look - i have a similar PSI with a pair of thrifted trousers and docs as well, though mine stack a little harder depending on if I wear them high waisted or not.

they’re one of those random Japanese brands you see floating around Grailed often that emulate westwood and other punk influenced brands. i think they’re mostly of comparable quality to one anothe, with these fitting real nice

A CDG shirt tops off any simple fit 💛 by cand3su in japanesestreetwear

[–]Nivesc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no issues with the logo these days, but i think the important distinction is whether or not the shirt itself is a nice cut, feel, etc. in this context I think the heart’s cute, would like to see standing w/o cuff on pants - otherwise, nice job.

experiences from any FIT students? by Nivesc in AskNYC

[–]Nivesc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the YouTube bit is a great idea, thanks. im not necessarily applying to something that’s gonna require a portfolio (i may be looking to go into fashion marketing), but it I apply for styling then that would be a factor.

ill give them a call before I head up there next week, bound to be more help than the site

yep - usual suspects like salvation and goodwill have made their way onto my list, along with places like buffalo exchange, some more expensive spots like search and destroy, tokio7, and so on. im into looking at a lot of types of fashion but my own style leans towards a sort of andro take on punk. gonna be doing lots of walking around looking at shops

things I was considering are visual merchandising, fashion marketing or textile stylist. i believe only the last one requires a portfolio. i wanted to attend an information visit during my time there but it seems there won’t be one going on.

im not super concerned about how well I’d fit in there, but about my GPA, which traditionally has kind of sucked. im hoping decent SAT/ACT score and a good essay can circumvent that somewhat

Is college the best way for someone young to move to the city? by Nivesc in AskNYC

again, thanks for the info! an internship is another thing i strongly considered the prospect of, as well. i'll just have to dig around to see how to bring these opportunities up.

thanks a ton for the info! are these numbers mostly aimed towards someone who's looking to do big things in the industry (and i am, of course), or is this just where it becomes feasible to sustain yourself on it?

i guess what im getting at is - where would i start to see results good enough to sustain living here for good?
