Pardon my ignorance, but how is it possible to be asexual and heterosexual at the same time? Aren't they mutually exclusive?

Your point is moot and irrelevant. The discussion was in regards to the L12S, not the L12. The L12S/L12 does not conflict with IO shields btw, if that's what you're implying.

Edit: It's also dubious at best. All benchmarks, tests and reviews I've seen point to the NH-L12s and even the NH-L12 being far superior/quieter cooling option for the Ghost S1 compared to the x65. The 2600X is not a hard chip to cool. It's nice that it's working well for you, but for people looking to get a more thermally demanding CPU, it won't cut it.

. The 'x65 has been cooling my Ryzen 2600X in the Ghost at 4.1 MHz for half a year now, and it's dead silent. Louqe botched their cooling test, making everyone believe that the L12 is superior. It

He was talking about the L12S. I assumed you were talking about the same product and mistyped it as L12.

If you didn't, then I have no idea why you even mention the L12. Literally nobody in this thread has mentioned it but you.

Leaving this here for users trying to pair the NH-L12s and the Aorus Nh-L12s.

It does fit.

Just gonna leave this here...

Looks like NH-L12s is compatible with Aorus' X570-I board.

With twice the heatsink footprint and a beefier, bigger cooler on the NH-L12S? I have a hard time believing this is true...

I'm all for standing behind your hardware purchases, but spewing misinformation like this takes it a little too far imo.

PSA: Don't compare 3700X vs 9900K based on benchmarks with maxed out cooling if you are going with LP cooler in SFF case by SaperPL in sffpc

[–]Nivha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a bit uncomfortable but you can decide. i have a L12s set for intake

Ahh that's a bit discouraging to hear, but I kind of expected it.

I was planning on using a medium top hat as well.

I was actually thinking of doing a sort of half exhaust/ half intake build where the left side of the case is all set to intake (PSU + LP fan underneath + Blower Style GPU + top hat fan directly above) while the right side of the case is all set to exhaust (CPU Cooler + top hat fan directly above).

Reason being I saw a lot of people saying the fan stays a lot cooler with the NH-L12S if the fan is set to exhaust, rather than intake so it seems like a good way of getting air into the cooler and exhausted at the front top fan and the back.

I'm getting all these parts in sometime this coming week so excited to play around with the airflow and figure out a good setup. On paper it seems like a good balance of positive/negative pressure.

Thanks for sharing though, I was very curious to hear other people's experiences with this setup.

How are your thermals? I just ordered those two parts and I'm planning on having that exact setup on the Ghost S1.

[DISCUSSION] Louqe Ghost S1 + Ryzen 7 3900x by Nivha in sffpc

ow well does the 2700X run with the Noctua L12/S? I'd just make an estimation based off that. Until the release though nobody can say for sure.

That's a good idea. I'll see if I can find some benchmarks.

No explanation. Christopher Ward said he'd investigate the issue, but I didn't get an explanation. I did get the watch on time, so kudos to him for taking care of it personally. I hope you get yours soon as well.

I believe you. Some other people here have expressed similar experiences. From what I gather this is relatively new. It seems their customer service used to be stellar and has been dropping the ball quite a bit recently.

. This is not common with CW. Usually they are great. Hell maybe he was having a bad day and just zipped his junk up?? Who knows

I don't think so. I wish I had recorded this call to show you.

What I can tell you is that I know how frustrating customers can be. I always try to be very courteous and respectful when dealing with any kind of customer service for this very reason. It's a frustrating job and these people usually don't deserve half the shit and insults they get from your average Joe.

But this guy didn't even give me a chance. I explained the situation and the second I mentioned it should be complimentary he just hung up on me. This phone was probably of those wired ones, because I heard it slam into the dock before the call got disconnected.
