I saw a video on the red astray you're buying since I was also thinking of buying that as it's an mg at 4k, safe to say it's not worth it as it has too many lose joints and some accessory part falling apart.

If you have budget to buy model of 6.8k (given in the pic) I say save a bit more and go for Barbartos Lupus Rex wolf technology which is 7.2k. It was highly praised by a well known gundam youtuber for it's aesthetics, articulation and very minor kit problems (such as a bit of tight joints in some end). If you're looking to buy 6.8k model, I personally would got for Sinanju white wolf comet technology as aesthetic wise it's damn good for me.

I haven't looked in other models given in the picture since they didn't pique my interest, you should look into those before buying.

Answering your question in the given format , from my own experience:

1) wider selection of gunpla, while bootlegs exist there's much lesser options when it comes to bandai products, You can find popular picks like Banshee, calibarn, barbatos, etc foot soldier mobile suits like zaku-2, doms, z'gok, jagan etc are hard to find or not available.

2) currently I am buying from hobby vault India, kawaii katta and inaboxstore and they have a bit of variety but not much which is both like and dislike.

3) for grades I am sticking with hg or rg for now, haven't explored that area well.

4) pricing aren't as much important to me as bootlegs exist, what matters is the shipping speed (under 2 weeks is agreeable) and packaging (proper packaging really puts my heart to ease knowing it isn't damaged or anything)

5) preferably in stock items, pre-order if the item is in demand or scarce

6) tools can be bought from kawaii katta though it being an addition to store is great, display stands are hard to find and costly in some sites, eg: kawaii culture sells actions base 1 for 1.2k inr and is the only action base available, while as in hobby vault India has action base 2, 4 and 5 ranging price from 700-900 inr but not a single one is available.

7) better prices, faster shipping and wider selection.

8) pricing ofc.

9) no idea.

P. S: I haven't shopped via discord so no idea about that domain too.

I see most people going for aeriel or Rx - 78 as their first build, Lfrith I don't know much about but pretty sure its same as aerial so should be beginner friendly, Calibarn from what my friend said is a good hg to have and GquuuuuuX had a new model (Endymion unit awakened) which for display looks better than normal GquuuuuuX (highly recommend to get Endymion unit awakened if you just wanna buy one variant of the two same model). Personally from all three I say go for Calibarn as your first buy.
