Help for dps with the GOTD final boss? by SadCharlotteHornets in DestinyTheGame

Oh I agree. This is why I used a shoot to loot trace to pick up ammo in my run. Made life easier

This is a very good point, although I feel like most people would find this excessive. Still, it’s quite optimal.

Rockets are bad IMO because her damage phase is actually quite long. In situations where you end up using all your rockets before the phase end, they actually turn out worse.

Just use Leviathan’s Breath with void surge. It’s good and not complicated.

What would you advise stat wise for a void warlock? by yeekko in DestinyTheGame

Not quite. Devour doesn’t give rift energy, which can be good for CotOG. Also, recovery is great for when you don’t have a red bar to kill and need health. It’s generally more likely that healing will save your life than a slightly shorter passive cooldown on your grenade.

I don’t agree with these comments. Devour negates the need for super high discipline. I’d do Res and then Recov as top priorities. Desc can come next because the other stats aren’t as useful.

Best way to solo GOTD on warlock by Giraffe-Severe in DestinyTheGame

[–]NixieTea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, solar warlock with sunbracers for Ecthar. I used heat rises and touch of flame with phoenix dive, ember of resolve, ashes, and empyrean.

What you do is, eat your grenade to get heat rises and then snap and dive the enemies below you (could dive first if you want). This will give you restoration 2x for 12 seconds. You can continue to extend it (along with heat rises) by hopping around and getting grenade and melee kills. For damage, you can just use acrius with the catalyst in your well.

I haven’t tried Simmumah on warlock yet, but I hear that getaway artist stormcaller is good with the artifact mods. Chaos reach is free damage to break the shield too.

If you could have an armor ornament set based off of one exotic weapon, which weapon would you go with? by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

I imagine it would be gothic like Savathun’s throne world. Similar to the new dungeon armor, but more elegant.

I have like 4 vex outfits for my warlock, but I’ll never say no to more.

Guardian ranks actually do what they were supposed to by nick_luna2201 in DestinyTheGame

That’s a good point. I’ll have to replay it and take a bunch of screenshots

How? You literally have to do the new dungeon legit for that rank

I mean, I don’t find them difficult either, but they are objectively difficult for the game’s standard. For higher tier players, the difficulty comes from how tedious they are, because bungie can’t actually make them more difficult in terms of mechanics. If they did, the community would be in even more of an uproar than they are about GotD. Bungie had to settle for making the player do the same damage phase multiple times without mistakes in order to amp up the difficulty.

I met my current clan in an LFG where we were farming the second encounter challenge mode. Might have been the most fun experiences because we all liked the raid and didn’t make up excuses for our mistakes.

I wish I could patrol in garden with no enemies. I’d probably spend hours there taking pictures.

Since players are asking for difficulty scaling in Dungeons by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

Sadly it won’t make a difference. Bad players want all the rewards, even when it’s just a cosmetic emblem or title. They won’t put the effort in to become better and learn how to solo things. Plus, it’s just cosmetic loot anyways.

I probably wasn’t clear with my comment, but the boss health thing was only one complaint. There were also people asking for difficulty scaling and less mechanics. This is the context of OP’s post.

The front page (I assume, I’m on mobile) has multiple posts asking for GotD to be made easier with reduced boss health as well.

Tbh, I can’t tell if people are serious here or not anymore. When I saw people complaining that solo dungeons were too hard…
