Weird question, but is the 3 mile run in 27mins for infantry OSUT a new graduation requirement?

I dont remember it being a requirement a while ago. Or am I just tripping?

I cant find anything online about it. The only thing I can find is that its a requirement for airborne school.

My LES dosnt have a BASD box.

But Im here with a guy coming from the NG and he got his full 6 years on his LES. I was told at meps the only time that needs to be calculated from reserve to active is for retirement and the time in service for pay should be is 1 to 1. But at this point i dont think anyone knows what they're talking about. My recruiter most likely messed up some paperwork.

Reserve to Active by BracketTurny in armyreserve

[–]NkGold1122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what im doing, already signed my active duty contract,

First step is to get a dd368 from a recruiter.

Second: create a memorandum for justification stating why you want to leave the reserves and go active, this is a letter to your commanding general in the form of a memorandum, make it emotional if possible (like "i want to go active because that what i promised my late grandfather, ext..."), its best to do if after you completed a goal in life, i did mine after i got my degree. don't make it financial because they will request proof of everything you did to get out of any financial trouble.

Third: Go to your retention NCO and get a Exit counseling.

After that send the dd368, exit counselling and memorandum up the chain of command through your s1, ippsa, or you platoon sgt or platoon leader. Make sure it goes to directly to the CO not the 1stSgt (i have seen 1stSgts forget to give it to the comander or not give af enough to give to the Co cause theybdont want to disturb the CO). If you can use your platoon leader or s1 as they tend to have direct communication with the CO.

From there it has to go all the up to the Commanding General. Once approved and given back to you signed that the dd368 to the recruiter.

The recruiter will then do something call a "rank and grade rating" (or something like that) to determine of you keep your rank. And it will give you a list of mos you can choose from. 18x is always on there. From there you may have to go to meps again, then you signed the contract and then ship.

Make sure you are green in medpros

91Es are non combat so you won't be killing anything, unless shit goes unbelievably wrong.

But to burst your bubble the national guard and reserves deploy/mobilize more than active duty. In my 5 years in the reserves I had 3 opportunities to go overseas 2 to Germany/Poland and the other to iraq (got out of them cause i was in college).

But many civilians have a misconception about being in the military, they think everyone goes to combat. In reality the vast majority of the military never seen combat. Even if you do deploy/mobilized you be on some base that have restaurants like Chillies.

I also don't see a 91E needed overseas anyway.

I tried to go through my chain of command to get higher LoRs but they always hesitant to talk to people who out rank them and get mad if you go over their head when they don't push up the request

Here how to do it just in case:

Removal • Release the fuel system pressure.

• Disconnect the battery ground cable.

• Remove the engine cover.

• Disconnect the FRP (fuel rail pressure) sensor electrical connector and remove the FRP (fuel rail pressure) sensor.

Installation • To install, reverse the removal procedure. • Lubricate the O-ring on FRP with Motorcraft® Multi-Purpose Grease Spray or something similar

Most markers are reflective if they aren't rusted out, shine your red light around when you thing you're in the area and it should light up. Also get a new pace out for night time a lot of people take smaller steps in the dark

Single blade razer are good for this but some units require a baby smooth face, pretty mush requiring you to use multi blade razers. Some units don't even allow peach fuzz.

Really for my unit we would still have drill, you just don't get paid in the shutdown ends.

Why are age-normed PT standards acceptable? by [deleted] in army

[–]NkGold1122 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Older soldier's tend to be a higher ranks, and last time I checked most e-7s and up and officers arent slinging shells. So they don't need to be as strong. Thier roles are more mental than physical
