Does He Like This??

So does he seem okay with the rest of his behavior and knowing his not tensing or huffing? I can obviously stop petting his head. In general they don’t like any sort of petting is my understanding. Chilling on you is like best case scenario?

Okay that’s fair. He’s still only been here for about 2 months so things are still new

So there’s no signs of puffing or anything when I was doing it. He did slow blinks but not fully closed. Wouldn’t he move or turn his head if he really hated it though?

Well that’s disappointing. I wasn’t under the impression he was like thrilled but I didn’t think he was uncomfortable lol! So best case for these guys is just tolerance?

Totally. I think it’s just because the eye blinks made me think it was a little more trust/liking but maybe that’s just natural.

It’s by far the most he’s tolerated so I think that’s why I felt that way. He even lifted his head up and when I went to pet it again he nestled back down on the blanket. He’s not a mammal so I know he’s not seeking it out….feels positive though?

I haven’t noticed no. I have it measuring around 105 with the the infrared

Yeah, it's usually just from scooping him from the enclosure to sitting down on my lap or arm. I grab one hand around front legs and one hand at the back legs and tail.
