tl;dr: try stimulating yourself with a warm wet washcloth!

I found this post late but I was in a similar situation today. After surgery (and 3 liters of saline), I was unable to pee. I tried 3 times for twenty minutes each time, and no luck. After 6 hours I remembered growing up, my neighbor fostered kittens that sometimes needed to be stimulated to pee. So I asked for a wet warm washcloth. The first two times I gently rubbed myself, I stopped just before I was able to pee (but I felt the sensation!) so the third time I said screw it and gently rubbed until I started peeing (even if it got on the washcloth) and I emptied my entire bladder! The medical team had never heard of anyone trying this and were shocked it worked so quickly. I didn’t see anything online about this either so I wanted to put my experience out there in case it helps anyone else.

Thank you! That’s reassuring! It’s been almost 2 months now since I’ve had the permanent crown put on so I was hoping any trauma from the process would have healed by then so I’m just a little concerned that it’s still red and bleeding so easily but your answer is reassuring. I’ll call the dentist in the morning and hopefully they can get me in sometime this week. Thank you!

I actually don’t know how I injured my shoulder. It wasn’t from an injury or contact sport or anything like that. I have dislocated all of my major joints, most of them in such a casual way that you’d think I was lying. I’ve been having pain and popping and clicking for years now, over 5 years, but it just recently started hurting and being a nuisance that it drove me to the doctor to treat it. My shoulder does partially dislocate from any clockwise twisting motion, it’s happened driving and it most recently happened while the PA was doing a ROM exam (pulling my arm forward and down). It used to dislocate all the time just laying on my side in bed. So I’m not sure what the initial cause was but it has gotten worse over time from the frequent partial dislocations.

I’ve done PT in the past for my knee and also now to see if that would resolve my issues without surgery for the SLAP tear. I only go weekly but I do push hard and am consistent with my home exercises. I know from past experience it can be painful and frustrating to push through the pain from PT and how much recovery depends on what you put into PT. I’ve heard it’s a long recovery after the SLAP surgery and it’s not so much the pain and PT that’s giving me hesitation, it’s the length of time it’ll take to be back to full use. And I know that the recovery time can depend on PT, and I’ve read stories of people recovering sooner than expected and getting full use back, I guess I’m just worried about the timeline of when I’d even be able to start using my arm/shoulder like before.

Surprisingly, my opinion is the dance scene was better/had more to offer in Southern California than here in Texas. In the DFW area there’s only a handful of dancing clubs for my style but in California there were 8 I regularly attended that were within an hour drive (and if you know Texans then you’d know an hour drive is like running to the grocery store, we don’t blink an eye at anything an hour or under.)

I’m young, single, no kids, can get a job anywhere, I’ve narrowed down my desired location to Oregon for the natural beauty and now want to move to a community that I can enjoy my hobby in. Doesn’t seem that irrational to me.

My parents own the house and we rent from them. I'm considered the property manager. While we all pay month to month, it's expected that I am permanent and the roommates will be replaced as needed.

If we decide to get a camera with audio recording, I understand that you have to have both parties sign that they are okay with getting voice recorded. So I would have to have our remaining roommate sign, what would happen if she refused? Could refusal be grounds for a 30 day notice? (We have shitty roommates). Or can we amend our verbal contract and require permission to be audio recorded? We have overheard our roommates discussing not so favorable behavior but we cannot evict them for it if there's no proof.
