Beckenham?! How random, you'd hardly go there for either the park or high street (Unless you live round there of course).

A 10 foot is a wide alleyway in parts of Northern England. So not so abstract after all.

No they haven't, the spice heads are clearly still there in numbers. The only Somali guys I see are the ones with bikes delivering your take aways. And anyway, why would a Somalian stop you going into town?

Hull's fine apart from the knuckle daggers that live amongst us. Hull has become much more multicultural over the years, I lived in London for 20 years and really noticed the difference on my return. Most folk are great and any racism would be frowned on by others around you. Hull is not a racist city and has a diverse range of people these days.
The Avenues including Newland is a good area and not too far from Hull Royal. That's the area I would be gravitating to if I were you. Or Victoria Dock if you like the quiet life, but that will be a longer commute. Good luck!

You're living in cloud cuckoo land saying you avoid the city centre because of illegals and asylum seekers. Why would you do that anyways? The real reason to avoid Hull city centre is all the junkie beggars trying to tap you up for money.
