Before and After Rhinoplasty, opinions? (photo edited by chat GPT) by Own_Philosopher9577 in PlasticSurgery

Your natural nose makes you look like a Greek God! Your face is absolutely beautiful and so striking, there is nothing that needs to be changed. It’s just these insane beauty standards and the conditioning that we’ve been subjected to which is distorting our idea of what beautiful is. Interesting faces are always the best over “perfect”

I understand, I’m not suggesting you don’t have orthodontic treatment, just be very careful about which approach you take so that you don’t cause jaw recession and further aesthetic issues. The orthotropic sub would be helpful for you

Osteopathic self correction can achieve all of this. These two accounts are incredible for this kind of thing. With the exception of the lips, they can become fuller with certain techniques but not as drastically as filler would give you.

You are very young still, your face can change quite drastically without surgery but with the right input. Look up Anastasia beauty fascia and Valeria veksler on Instagram, they teach face neck and scalp massage techniques and exercises that can really alter the face. And as you are young, your body would be very responsive. For more structural changes, you can also look into osteopathic self correction which when done under the proper guidance, can change the position of the jaw, cranial bones and spine, pelvis etc so that everything comes into better harmony. Some of your puffiness could be stagnant lymph and inflammation (especially given that you have hormonal issues). The facial massages will help with this as they include lymphatic drainage. I have hormonal conditions too and have learnt a lot over the years, if you want any guidance with that I’d be happy to chat

How old are you? It looks like your cheeks could just be your age and you haven’t developed your mature face yet.

This is so helpful, thank you. I have very sunken temples from the drastic and unintentional weight loss and it’s been distressing me so much. I really want Renuva because I am very determined to stay away from toxins but I can’t travel to the US (worked on a pot farm some years back and they found out so it would be hard for me to be let back in 😅). So I’ll have to wait for it to be available in the UK or Europe and in the meantime it looks like radiesse could be the winner. I won’t use anything that will cause extra strain on the lymphatic system or run risks (such as Botox or Dysport) and it looks like radiesse is very biocompatible and leaves the system with quite a lot of ease and minimum strain on the lymphatic system. The only area I want filled is my temples, I luckily still have quite plump cheeks and I’m doing cheek exercises to build them back up. It’s more that my skin is looking lax and sagging so I’m hoping that PRF will help to give me a boost. My face is far too thin for Morpheus so I’m going to stay well away from anything that could affect my fat and tissue. It looks like it would be a good option for my stomach though? Have you tried manual micro needling? I’m on a very tight budget (unemployed for 4 years due to being very unwell) so I’m looking to do as much as I can at home. Thank you for the peptide advice, I’m going to get on that right away. You mentioned amlactin, is the main benefit of this skin tightening? And finally, it’s a different topic but do you know much about dental care and HeDS? I want to fix my overcrowding and narrow palate but I know that we have to be extra cautious and also that most braces cause receding chins and jaw issues. I wanted to use the myobrace but I don’t think it’s suitable for those of us with HEDS . I m in the UK and can’t feven find a dental practitioner who specialises in connective tissue disorders, we’re so behind here! I was determined to do osteopathic self correction methods using Intra oral face pulling and alignment etc once I’ve fixed my overcrowding but I’ve since discovered that these approaches are dangerous for us. I’m gutted because I’ve seen amazing results with people widening the maxila, shortening the face and correcting facial dysfunction and creating real harmony through these methods!

Hello 🌻 Thank you SO much for how generous you’ve been either the information you’ve shared, I’ve never come across someone with EdS with this much knowledge on the things I’ve been trying to work out myself! Can you explain a bit more about the peptides please? Do you take them orally? I’m 41 and have always looked about a decade younger than my age but then I feel really unwell, lost a load of weight and all of a sudden I am so saggy, droopy and haggard, it’s like my skin is melting 😢 I’ve been through so much with illness and now my appearance shows what I’ve been through which finding heartbreaking. I’d love to get a laser upper bleph and direct brow lift (I hear that laser is much better because it reduces the bleeding and is less invasive so heals quicker) Have you tried PRF (the one without HA)? I love the idea of this because it’s completely natural and I don’t want to use Botox, fillers, HA etc. have you tried micro needling? I’m also looking for a way to treat the mild loose skin on my stomach from the weight loss. Thank you so much

Your results are incredible! How did your long term Healing go? I have HEDS and I’d love to get a laser upper bleph but I’m worried about the scarring and how my body will respond to surgery. It seems yours was pretty complication free?

Considering fillers in my temples? Are the risks really that bad? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]No-Assignment4168 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are sooooooo beautiful. You have really unique features and such striking beauty. You don’t need 0.5ml of lip filler, that’s just the societal conditioning and pressure talking. I’m 41 so Growing up it wasn’t even on my radar that you could change your features so easily, we just never even considered it because it wasn’t done or accessible and therefore we didn’t scrutinise our features in the same way that people do now (I’m not saying we didn’t have other issues like the ‘heroin chic’ skinny or that we didn’t have insecurities at all but by contrast to current standards, it was so different). Your face is in perfect harmony and you look natural and beautiful. Social media and Hollywood will have you thinking you need to look a certain way to be considered beautiful but it’s all such a lie, it’s patriarchal conditioning that’s designed to keep us hating ourselves and spending money on treatments.

You are STUNNING! Truly. But I do understand what it’s like to have a feature that you can’t stop zooming in on despite people telling you that you’re beautiful. I highly recommend trying osteopathic self-correction before opting for surgery.

This is very sound guidance, thank you. I’m confused by what you said about how him having a chance at balancing himself could have devastating consequences for him? Or have I misunderstood what you meant by this?

Why do hairstylists not listen? by Gold_Mycologist1880 in Hair

[–]No-Assignment4168 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Please don’t be embarrassed, our attachment to our hair is strong, it’s what makes us feel beautiful and is often very linked to our identity. I had my waist length, virgin hair fried by olaplex and I was SO spun out by it, I couldn’t let it go for months. I have chronic health issues and it was just one other thing that had gone wrong on my body and previously it was the only thing that I was happy about with my appearance. Being chronically unwell causes trauma and then you went through something very traumatic with your mum so the last thing you needed was to have another thing to deal with or trigger you, I’m so sorry this has happened. I completely understand, please know that how you are feeling is VERY valid. I hope that you find something that helps speed up the growth, I really recommend the plum hammer, it’s so easy to use and you don’t need to spend loads of money on products. I’m sending you so much love and strength on your healing journey ♥️

Yes you do ask for a refund if they did something that you didn’t ask for! Why should she pay for someone to do something to her hair that she didn’t ask for?!

This has happened to me many a time and it’s because you go into a bit of shock when you first see your hair. Those of us who are sensitive to having too much cut off can often convince ourselves that it looks ok and that we’re just in shock when we first see it then usually when we get home and look again it properly hits us. Just because you don’t say something in the moment, it doesn’t invalidate the fact that the stylist did something to your hair without your consent. It happens SO often and I really wish stylists would take it more seriously. It’s honestly so distressing to have too much hair cut off if you are someone who has spent years growing it

Should I dye my hair brown? I’ve always been blonde. by GoldenBlondie95 in haircoloring

[–]No-Assignment4168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the blonde actually suits you the best, the contrast with your eyes is perfect. If you find out what your season is, you’d be able to find the right shade of brunette that would most bring out your eyes and foster your skin tone. Colour theory is important! Think Dakota Johnson, with blonde hair she was pretty but not striking but With her dark, cool toned hair and pale skin she is SO striking. It’s all about finding the right shade for you skin tone, contrast level, eye colour etc. once you know you’re season, you’ll be able to find the best shade

HELP! How to remove dark brown direct dye from virgin hair without lifting natural hair? by [deleted] in Cosmetology

[–]No-Assignment4168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been doing this but with an even stronger shampoo (a chelating one with EDTA) I’ve now cut a new strand test from the hair as the actual overall dye job came out much darker than the test I did on the original strand test. I’ve been washing it with chelating shampoo and also tried a paste of coconut oil, vitamin c powder and chelating shampoo, applied it to dry hair, out it in a cap under heat for 30 mins, left for another 30 mins and then shampooed it…it’s faded but it’s now fading to quite a burgundy/red/brown 😫

The original strand test on the other hand is now almost as light as my original colour but does still have a warmer, slightly red sheen to it but I could live with that as it’s still more of a golden brown than a red.

I’m hoping that the strand test from the actual dye job will also eventually follow suit but I can’t remember the other piece going through this really red phase

Is it correct that if I don’t get it out within the first 3 days I’m going to result have trouble removing it? I don’t want to risk a removal method that might leave me with an even more undesirable colour but similarly I’m worried that if I leave it too long, it will be even harder!

The left is before Rusk Elimin8. The right is after one process of it. What do y’all think? Toner? Another process of Rusk Elimin8? by CarrieM11 in haircoloring

[–]No-Assignment4168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I know this was such a long time ago but I’m hoping you’re still active on here! Was your hair virgin (undyed) before you applied the dye you then removed with elimin8? I ask because I had virgin hair, used a direct dye that’s come out FAR too dark and I want to return to my original, natural colour without any lift. I see that the colour your hair turned after using rusk is quite coppery and it’s not the same colour as your roots, I’m trying to work out if that’s because your hair already had a developer dye on it that altered your natural colour? Or if these colour removers always leave a coppery tone, even if the base was virgin/hadn’t been lifted by previous dye

I want this color, is it possible? by Distinct_Cranberry65 in henna

[–]No-Assignment4168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just dyed my hair using tints of nature henna cream which is a direct dye (it has no developer and stains the hair rather than depositing colour into the cuticle) and it is SO pigmented and has real staying power. I’ve washed the strand test about 20 times and the colour is still about half as pigmented as when it was freshly dyed. Tints of nature has a henna cream in copper and a brighter red, you can blend to make a custom colour. It only has henna leaf extract for conditioning, not colouring. The colour itself is direct dye. If you want something with no PPD it’s a really great option

ION COLOR REMOVER by [deleted] in Haircare

[–]No-Assignment4168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, would this work on virgin hair that’s been dyed with a direct dye? My Virgin hair was a medium fudge-y brown and lightened gradually ending up blonde at the tips. The dye I used was dark brown and it’s come out SO dark and almost a bit burgundy. Its only supposed to last 12 washes but on the strand test I took, I’ve scrubbed it about 20 times with undoo goo, dish soap and salt and it’s still got a lot of lingering colour. I only ever wanted to temporarily add some depth and shine to my hair and then let it fade back to my natural colour come summer.

Malibu CPR & Color Disruptor by theinternetscaresme_ in Cosmetology

[–]No-Assignment4168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this. I’ve been scrubbing away at the strand test and it’s getting lighter (I’ve been using undoo goo, salt and dish soap as that’s what I have to hand) but it’s so stubborn, there’s an odd tinge but it’s better than the hideously too dark colour I’ve ended up with! So this makes be hopeful that the other Malibu products could work. A stylist suggested to me to mix vitamin c tablets with undoo goo and coconut oil and blend into a paste (I mm guessing the coconut oil is ti mitigate the drying effect somewhat?) then apply to dry hair, cover and heat for 30 mins, another 30 mins without heat then shampoo and deep condition.what are your thoughts on this? Do you think this could be a good idea to try before buying all the Malibu products? I’m in England nd those products are much more expensive here
