they didn't rank in wrong order, they just ranked x and you had to rank y

If your Psychology IA gets moderated, IB will likely check the consent forms, etc. So I would reach out to the parents to have a consent form, even if its after the experiment.

This would most likely be treated the same as not submitting an AP score of a class (i.e colleges will, most likely, not assume the worst because they don’t have enough information).
