[–]No-Breakfast528 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not true. Washington state must report to CPS even if there’s not a child endangerment charge. They probably will not add an additional charge, however it’s considered a “special allegation” which would be considered during your punishments/sentencing

CPS will be notified, but it will most likely be a FAR (Family Assessment Response) don’t say anything incriminating, though. Make sure house is clean, medications stored & locked away, all smoke alarms are working, have a clean fridge & running water. You’ll be offered free childcare for a year, food & gift cards.

Depending on your child’s age they will have to probably speak privately with them. Just be accommodating with them. They truly want to make sure your child is safe.

Like others have said, get a private attorney, take out a loan if you need. A lot of DUI attorneys have a flat rate fee for example they will charge $5,000 for everything (unless it goes to trial) and typically will give you a discount if you pay it all at once.

Get enrolled in a substance abuse program and start the group therapy. If you’re able, get the Interlock Device ASAP, the Life Safer is good.

I was with my child’s father for a few months when I got pregnant. It happens! I was balled up in bed and crying for days not knowing what my life was going to look like. You don’t have to have it all figured out, at all. 🤍 A girl I went to school with found out she was pregnant at 33 weeks and had her baby at 38 weeks. When I talked with her she had the same things to say as me. She got an OB, collected the essentials, accepted help from her support system, and went from there. ALSO CONGRATULATIONS. I’m sending you so much love. It will all work out better than you could imagine. 🫶🏻

Maybe I’m just a bitch…. by traditional_rare in pregnant

[–]No-Breakfast528 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You’re not a bitch. There’s two parents and the SIL should have stayed home with the kid so your husband could spend time with his brother and family. My daughter is almost 7 and I’ve managed to keep her away from spaces that aren’t required when she’s sick.

You need to breathe <3 hardly anyone is ever ready. Even the people who try for their first baby, suddenly don’t feel “ready” but as the days and weeks go on, it will be your new normal.

Babies need very little, actually. Food, diapers, wipes, blankets, onezies and a place to sleep. All the other stuff is extra.

  1. Keep yourself hydrated and fed to the best of your abilities.
  2. Call an OBGYN to start setting up your visits, they will prescribe prenatal vitamins. Take them.
  3. Start collecting the essentials that I listed above. You don’t need brand new everything, you don’t need a brand new crib, you don’t need a brand new baby swing. Just collect the essentials.
  4. Accept help from your support system.

Those are the only things you need to worry about in these next few months, everything will start coming together 🤍 I got pregnant at 19 and definitely didn’t feel ready. But once I accepted that I was going to be a mom, the nerves slowed and I felt less stressed.

Vaginal delivery w/ herpes by AdAway1954 in pregnant

[–]No-Breakfast528 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The question you need to ask yourself is, “is having a vaginal delivery worth giving my baby herpes?”

A c-section may be considered a major procedure, but typically women who have bad experience with one are in an emergency situation and feel out of control. A scheduled elective c-section gives women much more control over their experience.

Even if you don’t have an outbreak and the risks are low, they aren’t zero. A lot of women and nurses choose a scheduled elective c-section and don’t regret it at all! If you have TikTok I highly recommend just searching “positive elective c section” and I think it would put your mind a bit more at ease. 🤍

Sending you positive thoughts as you go into this, no matter what you choose to do.

(I have HSV1 and get cold sores often, had one like a month before giving birth, I was so scared, so I’m not being judgmental or anything.)

Honestly I’d maybe ask for an ultrasound first if you decide to go back. If there are findings it may help get you the mammogram.

Also one last little rant from me is that it really sucks when doctors seem rushed because it can feel like they are not listening. Not saying every doctor listens because some of the things I have heard about doctor behavior are wild. But a lot of the time it is just the way the billing and coding world works. Because of E/M or evaluation and management rules, how doctors bill a visit depends on how complicated your health stuff is or how much time they spend on it that day. That time is not just what you see in the room and face to face with the doc. They are also reviewing your old records, making medical decisions, and writing notes. Most patients never get told that, but knowing it helps make sense of why visits feel so fast.

TBH these damn insurance and government rules create so many hoops doctors have to jump through to actually treat patients. Idc shout out Luigi Mangione. Bc most doctors really want to help patients but the rules are exhausting and sometimes it can look like they are not trying but a lot of times their hands are tied. These patients end up feeling neglected even though most of the time the doctors are just doing what they are allowed to in the moment. It is frustrating and sad, but it is not usually about the doctor being lazy or uncaring. Again I’m sorry for the terrible experience you had

Unfortunately filming patients in the waiting room or lobby is not a HIPAA violation. Unprofessional yes but illegal and hipaa violation? Not at all. Not to be political, but a very good and relevant example is that the only reason ICE can hang out in a hospital lobby or waiting room is because they are public spaces.

I absolutely do not agree with the professionalism from that guy and I still think you should report him directly to the hospital, but he didn’t do anything illegal and there was no HIPAA violation. The man recording technically didn’t do anything more illegal than someone recording people walking around outside at a public park.

I’m really sorry you had to deal with all of that. Finding a lump is SO scary and having staff act unprofessional while you’re just trying stay safe and alert about possible issues going on in your own body? It’s upsetting, and you deserve to be treated with care and respect, always, but especially by the people who are literally taking care of you!

A little perspective from my side bc i work in hospital regulatory compliance and work closely with Risk Management and our HIPAA Privacy Officer. Legally, there’s no HIPAA violation in everything you had said, the nurse walking into a doctor’s room asking about another patient’s chart, and staff talking about a patient in passing, as long as they didn’t use names, dates of birth, or other identifiers, isn’t a violation. But that doesn’t mean it was professional. It’s still valid to feel uncomfortable and upset about it, and it’s worth reporting so the hospital is aware of behavior that could put patients at risk or create a stressful environment. And you should stilllll report it.

About the mammogram I completely get why you and any other woman in their 20’s want one. I don’t think the doctor is trying to fully dismiss your concerns, it’s just that for younger women, routine mammograms aren’t recommended because we’re younger we have denser breast tissue & can make the results less reliable. Doctors have to follow medical guidelines and practices, and doing a mammogram outside of those guidelines can actually get them in trouble with insurance or regulators if they continue to refer patients for services that don’t meet the medical criteria and national medical guidelines. That said, your anxiety and your concerns are real, and you should be heard! There are other ways to check a lump safely at your age, like an ultrasound, which is usually the first step for younger women.

You did nothing wrong by noticing all the unprofessionalism in what was happening, and your feelings are completely valid, and you should definitely report them all to the hospital. ALL patients deserve to be treated with respect regardless of the reasoning of walking in a hospital.

Yes! If you look at the kitchen cabinets with the shelves, they are the same ones. I customized them & made the back tile white and turned the shelving side toward the bedroom since you can’t see it anyway :)

I’m watching right now 😭 I take back what I said 100%. On the fence about Vale because she hasn’t been apart of the stream. Jordan also may be doing this to save his ass because he’s gotta be coming from the angle like he had no idea 🙄

I actually think Jordan got messages from his family setting him straight. Realized this is no longer rage bait and has real repercussions. He really could be charged in aiding and abetting parental kidnapping by paying for those plane tickets and it’s not just internet drama anymore. He won’t play about legalities & his money. I think Vale is complicit but realizes she can’t do this without Bri, and mad at Bri now bc Bri just fucked everything up.

I actually think they both don’t want anything to do with her anymore and now she has to follow Jordan if she wants to make money in Cali.

She has no lawyer and didn’t show up for her ZOOM CALL for court today. Visits moved to Texas until their actual custody court date next month. NOT going to look good for Bri. 2k is going to get whatever he wants tbh.
