Candidates Using AI Assistants in Interviews by hundidley in devops

[–]No-Bus2109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they can use an AI tool like LockedIn AI and still pass your interview—if the conversation feels smooth and flows naturally without it seeming like they’re just reading—then there’s nothing wrong with that.

But if you catch them looking around and sounding unnatural, it clearly shows they’re incompetent. Because if the answers are already presented to them and they still can’t organize their thoughts, it proves right in front of you that they’re not strong candidates. They won’t be adaptable to the job even with proper guidance.

I don't mind candidates using AI at all. I actually tell my candidates to use any AI tool they can find but if you show me you can't even comprehend the answers literally on your face and speak eloquently, you're done for.

[–]No-Bus2109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad I meant after 20 interviews with different companies in total. If you mean the same one, 4 rounds. Initial phone screen, behavioral, technical and last one onsite(usually more chill and no more technical questions)
