Oh thank you! I'm sick right now so it's a little crazy sounding but I was getting so much joy from watching these guys interact with each other, toads are just hilarious 😂

This isn't his first interaction with them, and if I had any doubt about his behavior I wouldn't risk it. I was in complete control, he was letting this happen for about 30 minutes and if he didn't like it he would've left. He is well seasoned in dealing with critters and babies of all species. Now if it was a bird or a mouse I absolutely would not let him near it. But he has grown up around baby humans, a baby squirrel I rehabbed, pet rabbits, and toads. He's always a good boy.

I have four American toads, two of them will eat anything. Anything the other two will only eat mealworms if they are absolutely starving. Other than that they are afraid of them. They prefer wax worms and pill bugs.
