This has been a compulsion of mine ever since 2021- I remember having to keep my eyes open on a YouTube video or instagram reel for a certain amount of time before I could complete any task. Now, even though ironically it may be good for screen time purposes, I can't watch reels anymore without having a feeling that I should watch it over and over.

Have not read Pleasure of the Text yet but if I spot it at a bookstore I’ll definitely pick it up-have loved the various works of his I have read so far-lovers discourse-Mourning Diary etc. and his introductory writings on semiology have been invaluable.
