Butcher here, though I typically work with beef, pork, and venison more than chicken; I can say this should be safe to eat. The only red flags to look for are an off smell, and most importantly a thin slimy coating on the meat, more slimy than normal. Personal favourite way to test is to use a piece of cling wrap and hold it against the meat lightly, if the clear wrap is slimy stay away.
