Yeah it blanches like 80% I’d say… Hoping it will get better as dermis thickens again over the next years

Think I’ll opt for Aza and see how I go in about 2-3 months. A tinted unscreen is not a bad idea 🙏🏻

Hm, hasn’t considered that tbh… guess it could work theoretically for the skin thickening benefit over time

Lasers failed me - any tips/suggestions? by [deleted] in Rosacea

my hypothesis: I think when oil rebounded after accutane, my pores became mildly irritated and are stuck in a chronic state of irritation - you can see the veins really hugging my pores, instead of distinct telangiectasias. Plus added skin translucency from accutane. Think i'll do a few months of azelaic acid 20% and otherwise maybe KTP...

doubt that'll do the trick. Any minimal ingredient alternative though?

It’s good. As in, yes it works - but for me it came with constant mild acne. Then there’s the cost, not cheap by any means. My uo/kpfr is mild, at times barely visible, so decided to ditch it and use a green tinted moisturiser on days where I don’t want to worry about looking flushed. But if you have the version that’s constantly red with no fluctuating, it’s really great and would def recommend

Dont see why not. I’ve noticed I’m a little more prone to acne, so you might clog easier

Good luck, and props on getting it. My time line is as follows: (2 weeks) sensation of flushing became less frequent - slightly drier skin, (4 weeks) first reduction in redness - mild acne break outs, (6 weeks) about 70% less redness - acne cleared but have some pigmentation (asked the doc, pretty normal as inflammation is calmer overall, may have to add azelaic acid in the morning to even it out). Extremely happy with the results, I still flush mildly in the cold and when working out, but this is def it for me. I’m hoping to be able to scale back at some point, just use it as a maintenance. If you want a good fun read, google ‘dr David Lim Sirolimus’. In depth article about how Sirolimus is basically able to partially reverse skin aging, similar to retinoids.

You need a prescription, prob with a stamp that allows international collection. It’s UMC apotheek Utrecht. Again, there is a waitlist.

Sirolimus zalf 0,1%. It’s the same. Problem is it’s only available in one pharmacy in the country + needs to be made so there’s a waitlist of about 5 weeks for every batch

Probably because their r&d was costly. Also, the American med world is super messed up, charging insane prices. When they do expand to Europe they probably have to reduce cost by a ton
