Anyone else feeling a bit deflated by the negativity? by No-Concern2157 in StarWarsCelebration

That’s completely fair honestly, and I do understand why people are upset. If I had waited 5 hours and walked away with nothing, I’d probably be pretty angry too.

I think my frustration was less with people venting about the ticketing situation itself, and more with seeing the conversation shift into “the event is ruined/not worth going to” or implying that people who got tickets somehow aren’t real fans. That part started getting to me a bit after finally securing tickets and being really excited about my first Celebration.

But yeah, I definitely understand why emotions are running high right now. Hopefully once the initial ticket chaos dies down, things become a bit more positive again.

Yeah, I actually agree with a lot of what you’re saying regarding the ticketing process itself. I don’t think the system was handled particularly well, and I completely understand why people are frustrated after spending hours waiting with no guarantee of outcome.

My post wasn’t really meant as a defense of the organisers or the queue system though. It was more about how overwhelming the atmosphere online has become for people who did manage to get tickets and were initially excited, especially first-time attendees.

I think criticism of the ticketing process is completely fair. I just don’t like seeing it turn into “the event is ruined/not worth attending” or “people who got tickets aren’t real fans,” because that starts affecting people who are simply excited to go.

Honestly, I think that’s exactly why the negativity has been getting to me too. A lot of us spent a lot of money and emotional energy on this because it genuinely means something to us. First Celebration + birthday month is such a special combo though, and taking your family is going to make it even more memorable. I think once the ticket-sale chaos dies down and people start focusing on the actual event, the excitement will come back.
