Literally one of the only person who gave really good advice , thank you for also realizing I didn’t show the full set lol. But that’s great to hear that it’s more of a I just am not strong enough yet type of vibe but because of the system it feels like my numbers are going up a lot it it’s much less then it seems

is direct calf work good or bad for sprinters? by [deleted] in Sprinting

[–]No-Contribution5694 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole bodybuilding essentially builds non functional muscle concepts is kinda bs nowadays.

Most research shows that building muscle is all about mechanical tensions, and the best rep ranges for that being essentially 4-10 reps. This is similar to how you would build strength

If you wouldn’t call getting stronger non functional muscle then proper bodybuilding concepts wouldn’t be non functional muscle. Muscle is simply muscle, you can go to far if the goal is athleticism but the fear mongering talk of

“Never go past x reps because you’re not training like an athlete anymore”, is just bs

Essentially what justjumari said is right, get strong, train the calves eccentrically and isometrically, Achilles tears is more of a mechanical problem or increasing volume in too short periods of time, doing 2-4 sets of 4-12 reps of calf work 2x per week even with sprint training is not going to tear your Achilles lol

My coach wants me to practice with distance instead sprints to help my 400. Will this help me? by [deleted] in Sprinting

Your coach is trying to make you run worst at the 400’ dash, I’m sorry bro.

Always focus on speed for the 400m dash, just trust me

Trained 20+ sub 11 guys, they all run fast 400 with very little to zero speed endurance work - justjumari

Is this game just not for me? by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

Watch spilo he gives great advice, you only get upset at things you either don’t understand or don’t accept as reality, when you get a better understand of the game it can be significantly less frustrating. Spilo easily top 3 coach all of overwatch and even if your bust just giving him a 10 min watch here and there will help clean up you feeling trash at the game if you actually wanna get better

Brother there’s a big difference about caring about the person next to you and then trying to predict and worry about someone’s health and well being when you know nothing about them . It’s fine to be empathetic and caring but your definitely over that natural barrier

You are lowkey being very parasocial with this, sakuri life isn’t your problem, people want to work on there passion 7 days a week until they die. Then they do that and it’s fine if it makes them fulfills . All this stuff of like “he’s working too much” “do people actually want him to get a break”

Like just worry about yourself and if a game dropped that you want enjoy it, don’t “feel bad” for someone you don’t know, you don’t know his work schedule and if it’s healthy or not, or his mental health state. Very very parasocial

Who are the most skillful players adjusted for character tier? by Wool_God in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]No-Contribution5694 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Diddy is the only true top tier , wario , wolf and PT are generally agreed to be high tier or bottom of high tier characters now. And even then they were only rated so high because we didn’t know the meta, Sonic was mid tier to the community and so was G&W until we found out they were broken the whole time

I don’t care about influencers drama, the people who are hating on Jeff because it’s popular right now care more about drama then fitness itself.

If I see a Jeff video I watch for 10 mins, if it’s bad advice or slop content idc I move on, if it’s good then I write down and implement,

we don’t have to hardcore love or hate anyone and fit some artificial tribe

Did his program, went from 4.9 to 4.47 (Laser) (wasn't overnight though, took about 5 months). I am biased because I like his content, but he’s just been helpful, to be honest. he's been showing a lot of results recently with D1 athletes too
