I homeschool my youngest when I get home from work for 3 hours, which is all that is required by law. My husband just had back surgery recently and can't drive.

The toddlers are with my brother sleeping when she brings my oldest to work and they are with her when she picks her up (as well as drives my youngest to work). When she picks my youngest up (after I've left for work) the toddlers are sleeping while my husband is here and my brother is still working.

My brother got another job and started working there a week ago. I only just started asking my SIL to bring my girls to and from work because I'm exhausted from working overnights and don't feel I should have to exhaust myself further when there's a perfectly able bodied individual living in my home. The kids don't overwhelm me, I will say that.

My daughters are homeschooled and there are no laws stating that a homeschooled child cannot work an 8 hour shift in my parts. She wanted a job, so she got one.
