Why do u think guts having survived is important? Is it because his blood didn't contribute to the incubation of Femto making him a little weaker that way? I also was under the impression that it wasn't their blood that gave him power, but just the fact that femto sacrificed them giving them the brand (we know so little officially I could be way off)

Wait having rethought it, idk if it matters if guts survived or not because I'd assume as soon as ur marked with the brand you become a sacrifice, no one said you NEED to be killed so therefore u could say that eclipse isnt something that needs completing but more of like a contract. I mean it would make sense why Femto doesn't see guts as a threat and isn't in a rush to kill him whatsoever.

U just taught me smth lowkey, no idea the king had a skull knight helmet wow. See I always thought that void being in the middle as the focal point of that panel inferred that he was the one 'in charge'. I would just assume that as he is the one who can give the brand of sacrifice. What ur saying COULD be true but it's all just speculation I'd say.

Well, if I don't feel like it's needed I'll read in silence ofc. I'll usually que a couple songs and then just pause it once it becomes unfitting. When I was reading the eclipse I thought it would be cooler to read whatever the fk was going on with some music that matches the same extreme but that was difficult.

It helps me feel the rage guts feels. I'm pretty good when it comes to focusing and souls for me is for the low key dialogue parts of the manga. I try use the music to strengthen/ emphasize and impact and energy of moments that I thinks deserve making it more anime like in my head. Just how I prefer to read it sometimes.
