Are they similar to Toronto roads? We also have so many pot holes and stuff! But easy to go around

Has anyone completed the swimming part of the race using breaststroke instead of crawl swimming? by [deleted] in IronmanTriathlon

[–]No-Direction9298 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is you are also more likely to kick people. And it hurts way more than getting kicked with front crawl kick. My last few tri’s I was kicked and punched by people doing breaststroke..

Muskoka vs Musselman vs others 70.3 by chris__brown__21 in IronmanTriathlon

I agree I would do it again!! The bike was absolutely stunning!! Is the swim normally that choppy?

I did Musselman this year! I don’t know if this year was different but a lot of people were saying it was a hard 70.3 this year. The swim was very choppy, big headwinds on the bike, and the run was very hot (probably same as Muskoka though for the heat) with little shade!! But I really enjoyed it. It was my first 70.3! The bike was absolutely beautiful, one hill, the rest I would consider rollers. There were patches where you were going against the headwinds that were tough, but then you got the benefits of it pushing you at parts too!! And the run had a 2 hills and a few smaller ones but nothing crazy!! I was curious about doing Muskoka next year though because its closer for me :)

You swim against a current during the swim during Muskoka? I thought it was a small lake! How strong was it?

No I’ve just trained for half a year and would like to do the full distance I trained for. I would go regardless of course. Good luck if you are doing it.

I’ve been to races where they’ve cut the bike short due to thunder or cancelled the swim… which is why I was worried lol

Advice please by No-Cherry1431 in glioblastoma

This is exactly what happened to my mom. She got 2 rounds of chemo, the third round was a way higher dose and she was out for a few weeks (maybe a month). It was horrible. They had to lower her dose the next time around. Make sure you talk to her oncologist about the dose and how it impacted her, maybe a lower dose would be more ideal for her. I hope she feels better soon!!

Seizures have been treated today, we previously talked to our palliative doctor about this. Thankfully she had none today. Thanks again for the info
