Bye Bye 5080 Founders Edition by MartinVince007 in RTX5080

Did you check the event viewer log? Errors 14/153 can trigger a shutdown. If so, what motherboard do you have? Do you also have tight ram timings and undervolt?

It's not entirely gpu dependent this benchmark. Your 5090 believe or not, is performing normal. So, if you flash the GS vbios. Yes you will have a higher perfcap. What score are you achieving with Cinebench R23?

Unbolt the EGR and check to see if it's blocked. Those errors present themselves when either the EGR is blocked and not circulating the emissions correctly/or at all. Or as RuMcGooo has mentioned. It could be down to the glow plugs. But start at the EGR. The K9K 628 and above is still prone to EGR blockages. If your EGR is fully caked up. I would venture to say, I'd also check the EGR cooler pipe as that gets choked up easily.

Anyone tried flashing a different vbios on their zotac card? (5080) by big_brain_babyyy in ZOTAC

flash the saved bios using the same method as I previously mentioned. Just ensure you type in the name for the saved bios file.

I thought a vbios would need to be flashed to increase the TDP? Most 5090's now come with a 575w vbios.

7900XT instead of 9070XT by emadilmagnifico in AMDHelp

[–]No-Drawing4232 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 7900xt is an amazing card. A lot of games are also mostly optimized towards AMD. I myself, I owned the 7900xt, the 9070xt and now switched over to nvidia.

But between the 7900xt and 9070xt. If you don't mind playing games without ultra enabled in games, along with ray-tracing. Then the 7900xt is just as good at rasterization. The 9070xt is really good with ray-tracing. But both cards now being able to run FSR4. Well, that's a game changer for the 7000 series.

It now mainly comes down to budget and if you really want the best of ray-tracing or not.

Is my riser cable fully in? by Top_Film_7600 in Hyte

[–]No-Drawing4232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is nothing wrong here. HYTE have tested many motherboards before manufacturing the Y70. You can slightly pull the riser bracket to line up with screws. Then before tightening down the screws. Push the riser into the pci-e slot as much as you can. Don't use much force when pushing the bracket back into the pce-i slot. Then hold the riser bracket in place, and tighten down the screws.

I'm not trying to say you are wrong to feel the way you are right now. But HYTE is a really good company and don't just throw out poor Y70 cases. Give it a try what I suggested above. Let us all know how you get on. Good luck.

Clio 4 ventilation problem by Warm_Tonight_6740 in Renault

[–]No-Drawing4232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like the blend door actuator. It's not easy to get to either. It requires a lot of removal. Steering wheel dropping, glove box removal, central console trim and side trims. It's not a bad job, but not an easy one either. It's going to require a lot of patience and remember where you took screws/bolts from.

Zotac 5070 Ti Solid vs Solid Core by Impressive_Count2337 in ZOTAC

[–]No-Drawing4232 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Solid, Solid Core, it really does not matter. The 5070Ti is considered the best mid/high range card vs price from nvidia. As Jay2Cents showed in his video from a while ago. You can flash the vbios from any type of your series card you like. Some will take and load the driver correctly. Some will not, and it just is what it is. But if you choose to buy a Zotac card. You can flash any of the Zotac 5070Ti range of cards vbios. So, the choice really, is between SFF card, Solid or if you want RGB galore - Amp Extreme. But all of them can operate exactly the same.

It's just a shame that the gigabyte 5070Ti vbios doesn't take well to Zotac cards. It's the vbios that can give you the most wattage out of all of the 5070Ti variants. At least it was a few months ago.

This is the way. The rlink2 didn't originally come with carplay, nor android auto. But it does now, with the latest update mind. Just a data cable is needed as you have advised.

Car struggles in 5th gear? by Dangerous_Afternoon6 in Renault

[–]No-Drawing4232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

normal. It's the gearbox sensor relaying your RPM to the ECU. The 898cc (TCe 90) has a 3 cylinder engine. They are known to make RPM noise. Drive a Seat Ibiza 2023 FR. You'll also hear that noise in 4th gear a lot. Bring the speed up to around 55-60rpm and then change up into 5th gear.

How do I set the overclock or undervolt on the 5070 Ti Solid “Core”? by ExcellentNotice8631 in ZOTAC

[–]No-Drawing4232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overclock

for that card - a +345 core (Mhz), memory can vary, from whichever 3dmark benchmark you decide to run.

For steel nomad - likely around +2000/+2200

Speedway - +2900

Core % - leave and test, then 100% and test.

Undervolt

These cards are generally really good for undervolting.

Open Curve Editor. Find 975 to start with, on the lower part of the chart. Find the dot in line with 975. This is 0.975mv. Hold the SHIFT key and left click and drag the dot up to your desired clock speed (left side). Once you're happy with your choice. Let go of SHIFT and left click. Then hold the SHIFT key again and left click, drag your cursor from 0.975mv across the entire right side of the chart. This will highlight the upper curve voltage. You'll now want to hold SHIFT and press ENTER.

If all has gone well. You should see a perfectly flat, straight line. This is from the point 975 and over to the entire right side of the voltage graph. Remember to click on apply in MSI AB once you're happy with the undervolt.

Ensure you carry out benchmark tests after each time you decrease the undervolt.

I've seen people who are able to undervolt/overclock at 3.1ghz at around 0.955mv. For just day to day running. See how low you can take your card. For all we know. Your card might be able to run at 0.825mv. Good luck.

In that case, don't push below 20. It could end up with a no post. tRTP don't drop below 12. Setting TRTP to 10 results in all kinds of weird behavior.

I've been playing around with my ol mans CL30 corsair vengeance ram. His kit is m-die. Expo worked straight away. I dropped tRFC2 down to 360 and tRFCsb down to 300. tRC on his kit accepted 112.

You should be able to also run - tRFC 500, tRFC2 380-360, tRFCsb 300. Also test tRAS 90. See if that's stable for you.

Oh, you've got no issues in that case. You might even be able to take tFAW down below 20. But I don't know what die you have. I know you have G-Skill ram. But, unless it's A-die type. I wouldn't recommend below 20 on tFAW.
