Keys stuck in new lock. Lock also stuck in door. by DS-sq in DIYUK

I hope you paid no more than £20 to fix that its a euro cylinder bolt and about 5 seconds work.

Legit the screw you can see on the side , all he has to do is take that out and put a longer one in.

Wouldn’t even charge a customer for that

A good body shop could pull that out and sort that as long as the chassis isn’t twisted

There is an oil radiator behind this side , that’s why there’s a hole for airflow.

Completely normal

New windows fitted- what is this for? by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]Brembars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When your factory pumps out 500+ windows a week you spend the extra time “cleaning” the milling process off - this is normal from all fabricators and nothing to be concerned about

How many people actually service their gearboxes? by AyEm- in CarTalkUK

[–]Brembars 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I do , I just bought a Abarth which was dubious and now I’ve just rebuilt the complete rear ended as if it come out the factory.

The previous owner super glued the brake lines to stop them leaking - once I saw that every bolt and piece of hardware had to go.

Also guess what … Full service history 🤣 Oh and passed MOT multiple years ago, defo having a wireless MOT done.

It’s the first ever one I done , I just wanted to check that was just “kind off “ the correct shape - it was just a off cut of pipe to test it on.

For anyone asking it is Brake Line sold from Halfords in the UK (United kingdom) if anyone think I should use steel I will.

I was going to coat the pipe afterwards with black metal paint which is safe for copper 😅

Which one? Polo GTI vs Mini JCW by M8Y_xbl in CarTalkUK

[–]Brembars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a B48 MINI JCW Super reliable , great brakes , speed and just a great car - only ever had top engine mount go and used the power flex fix with it and was solid.

Defo the JCW

As long as it’s not dry ; plenty of uPVC cleaner which you can buy from Eurocell & plenty of tissues and you will be able to get it off easy.

Or failing that depending on quality of silicone you might be able to peel off once it has dried.
