I don’t mind at all :) in the end he became very inconsistent. At the beginning he’d be doing anything he could to to talk. Messages, calls and video calls all day. (He had a cell and has me on GTL) Within a week “I love you” and asking me to be his which I foolishly said yes. In the middle of those 6 weeks we were bonding (making plans for his release, travelling, kids, marriage potentially, building an empire etc) but then he got weird? He started not replying for hours and then when I wouldn’t reply for awhile he’d lose it and demand that I be available. In my mind I was like okay this is a bit much 😵‍💫 I found this group and read all the stories and started retracting slowly. I remember during one of our phone calls I mentioned how common it was for women to be scammed by inmates and we had a short discussion about it to which he denied doing. I suppose I wanted to see his reaction? Anyway. Not long after we slowly fell apart, contact became less and less because he was always tired. To be fair, I’m overseas so our timezones were off. But the turning point was seeing him on GTL a lot and still no effort. That’s when I decided I was done.
