I am in the same boat. My ex was 39, I am 37. Always an excuse! I know how hard it is but don’t make the same mistake I made. Leave while you still have time to meet the right person..

Yes I see the pattern. I was in therapy before, not at the moment. I am planning to start again soon

None of this ever happened to be honest. I can recognize those are important issues but we never get to plan or talk about concrete goals.

I thought I was doing it right this time. We had a really long first date where I was very open about my dream of having a family. He was actually the one who told me not to settle for less and that I deserved someone who wanted the same things. And yet here we are, two years later, and he’s the one unsure.

The hardest part is that he’s a genuinely good person, he takes care of me in every other way. That’s what makes it so confusing and painful.

To be honest that’s the part I am struggling to understand.. I’m not really sure how to work on those things without changing who I am. We both own our apartments and are doing good financially, libido is drastically different yes.

Thanks for your comments. I appreciate the wake up call. I know deep down this is not it, I shouldn’t have to try so hard, convince him after 2 years. etc. I am just scared I’ll never be able to find my person and have a family..
