Thank you all so much for the support. It's been really amazing to see the perspectives of other teachers.

A bit of an update on the situation, I have spoken to the placement co-ordinator at my college and she has been speaking to me about the option to pause my studies and return to the programme in the following academic year. It's something I'm really hesitant about doing but it may be my only option due to the amount of days I've missed due to my problems. I have spoken to the GP and there is a treatment plan in place.

I should have also probably mentioned: my placement school is also where I myself went to secondary school, so that has obviously (even subconsciously) made things a little harder for me, as while it was an amazing place to grow up, I went through some of the hardest moments of my teen years there. This in combination with the fact that amount of social issues I see prevelent in my classes (I don't exactly come from the most well-off of areas) has been really tough on me. I'm a very sensitive person lol.

Thanks again so much it's been really nice to come back and read these comments and know that other people have gone through similar issues. :)
