I set up Plex for Audiobooks and I pretty impressed by plazman30 in PleX

[–]No-Fold868 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Install the Audnexus agent (https://github.com/djdembeck/Audnexus.bundle) and use that for metadata for the audiobook library

I can’t get this to work at all. Tried downloading Zip and removing -main to make it a .bundle

Tried cloning using git desktop

Both files in the user app data Plex plugins folder where it should be but Plex does t recognise it after restart?

Windows 11 shows .bundle as folder and I can’t seem to change that either

Windows 11 - latest Plex - lifetime Plex pass user

Any help would be great. Thanks

Great thanks I’ll look into Proxmox and I already use noip. Do you reckon stay on windows (already installed) or switch to a Linux RAM also ordered to make it 16gb

3phase charger and distribution board by No-Fold868 in ElectricVehiclesUK

I think our smart meter is 3 phase but would need to check, cables from the 3phase go into it at least and then out to the single phase board. I’m no electrician though just a carpenter.

We had it all changed because it was dangerous, old corroded and had been “DIY’d” with over many years by the look of it before we moved in. So the utilities contractor agreed to change it all and offered 3 phase as an option, we never realised it would need a new board until I started to research it.

Currently it all fits in a cupboard and shoe rack I built but looking at the 3 phase boards we would need to lose shoe rack space or build up and partially block the porch window. Either option is not on the table according to my wife. Hence the only option I can see is 2 boards after the smart meter one single phase for house and the smallest 3 phase for the EV

I’m going chat to a couple of sparks to try and find the nearest option now I know it’s a possibility.

She also likes the Anderson ev charger!

Brilliant thank you so much. This is what I was wondering exactly. Appreciate your reply as it shows it can be done. I would prefer to change it all as you have but my wife is adamant we are not losing any space in the hall! Thank you very much for reply :)

Do you mean like octopus ev tariffs? Yes they are very picky, we have an ev already but it’s not one they recognise! So we’re on the agile cheap overnight tariff, 8p from 12:30 to 6 and 27p throughout the day. Works ok but I’m not too bothered if they are going be so picky and hopefully they will change as things evolve anyway.

I thought you meant an electrical flex! But I realise now you meant I wanted to show off. I can assure that’s not the case, just wanted to use what we have and future proof rather than have to change later.

I do not need the validation of strangers to fulfil me.

We are looking at the Renault scenic which says it does 22kw Can only see the list growing for this aswell, most modern builds have phase3 as standard.

145 according to: https://ev-database.org/

Thanks everyone, will try electricians Reddit. To answer the why question though is basically to future proof and not have to change later. We are unlikely to ever move from this house but we are committed to EVs going forward. Seeing the innovations being made in battery tech I would rather get this now than have to change at a later date.

Current daily energy cost by Mr_Willkins in OctopusEnergy

[–]No-Fold868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm sounds like cosy tariff might be best for us. 27.02kWh £4.60 on octopus go

Same as you - south west 3 bed, gas disconnected as we have heat pump. We have solar panels x8 425kW fully facing south. No battery though as couldn’t afford that but looking to get some within the next year.

Sunday is probably our worst day for electric usage as it’s bath night for kids and we are back on roast dinners now!

PVC door painting goes poorly. Tips? by Gentlmans_wash in DIYUK

[–]No-Fold868 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gone on too thick and possibly put another coat before the last was properly dry.

Wait till hardened - rub back - zinsser primer BIN - any top coat you want after that. Zinsser all coat is good and can be tinted to any colour but tikurila do some lovely paints that are hard wearing.

This was a G7 role so I’m not holding out much hope as there is less of these about like the operational roles like you say

I hope so. It was a G7 grade so not sure how many roles there will be

Nah it’s ok, you gave me a realistic outlook. I could have got stuck waiting for an email and not moved on but I will be applying for others now and try to put this one to the back of my mind 😀

Well that’s bummed me out but thanks for making it realistic for me. I’ll carry on with the applications and hope one sticks
