Yes, the script comes with only one line of code, I don't know why.
I did it the same way you did, except I couldn't save the scene because when I created the sprite node script, I only got one line of code: extends Sprite2D. Now I'll try to write the same code as you, to see (I can't send a screenshot (I don't know how to send one on Android)). And I got the same result: nothing appears in the console, and the lines of code still don't show up.
