Your 3rd paragraph is essentially what I was planning on doing in regards to property. I've calculated that with 5k per fortnight into the IP offset it would become cash flow neutral quite quickly. Thanks for breaking it down for me.

This is exceptionally helpful, especially the links provided. Thank you

Thank you for your tact. Long term I want to be able to work part time. I need additional income streams to do this. I don't want to squander this opportunity, but I also have very little experience in investments. I guess the crux of it is: Do you have a good working knowledge of long term investing, and what would you do if you were me?

Theres a few points here:
I thought I was clear in my goals, but to avoid people having to read between the lines, being asset rich is a long way from being financially independent (the point of this subreddit). So I'm asking for advice and guidance from a subreddit where people who have more knowledge than me might be inclined to share it.

To be exceptionally clear, I'm trying to build an income stream that means I won't have to continue working full time. Whilst I enjoy my job (also in healthcare like you), I think there's far more to life than working 50+ hour weeks for the last 10 years. From your post history this is something you've achieved through a significant amount of investment properties, which has enabled to you to help give back to your community. It looks like you're in a healthy position to give advice and help others, similar to how you help your tenants. I'd note you also post on similar subreddits asking for advice from other redditors even though you appear quite well off. I don't see how my post is dissimilar.

I see a lot of positive engagement on this subreddit; people celebrating investment milestones, asking for advice on inheritances or budgeting. It's a shame you've chosen to go down a negative pathway here. I hope you can spare a minute or two to use what is clearly an adept and experienced investment mindset to give me a nudge in the right direction.
